Backstory: Rex was born to a mining town where the people there mined for valuable minerals for money. Rex's parents, however, were hikers who enjoyed adventure and traveled to great heights. However, an avalanche was caused due to the mining and put the city under a landslide, burying the city, luckily the Pokémon helped get everyone out to safety. Rex was so relieved about the Pokémon rescuing him and his family that he dedicated to protecting the wildlife from any harsh or unfair treatment. He became a big Rock-Type user from his town that he went through rigorous training and was recognized by the community to become a member of the Elite Four.
