Name: Rustling Leaves

Gender: tom

Clan: Early ShadowClan

Rank: Warrior

Age: 43 moons

Age at death: 128 moons (10 yrs and 8 months)

Cause of death: greencough

Appearance: lean black tom with dark ginger patches and sharp green eyes

Personality: Rustling Leaves is a pretty cheerful tom. He's mostly carefree and bouncy but he can go from 0-100 in less than a second if you tick him off enough or mess with his family. He likes to stay cheerful for his dead brother so that he can be happy when they meet in StarClan. He's an excellent hunter and stalker(that sounds creepy XD) but he could use some work on fighting. He does best with the element of surprise and the hit and run tactic instead of head on combat.

Family:
Mother: Bluebell - russet tabby she-cat with blue eyes

Father: Night Fur - black to with green eyes

Brother: Robin Song - russet tom with blue eyes (deceased)

Mate: Red Neck - white she-cat with a red patch on her throat and yellow eyes

White Willow - white she-cat with green eyes

Sons: Wolf Song - white tom with black and russet patches and yellow eyes;
Shaded Leaf - black tom with a russet muzzle and green eyes

Mentor: Cloud Petal - white she-cat with strange magenta eyes

Backstory: Rustling Leaves was born long before the time of Bluestar, or even Pinestar. He was the younger of he and Robin Song, but the two were always the same size. As kits, the two were inseparable, you didn't see one without the other. Robin Song was always really cheerful, and it rubbed off on Rustling Leaves. When the two became apprentices, Robin Song got Blaze Tail and Rustling Leaves got Cloud Petal. The two practically forced their mentors to let them train together, but they still didn't get to spend as much time with each other as they did as kits. Their first battle was one with WindClan. Both fought really well and were praised by the clan. Both of the toms were very modest about it, and told the clan that it was their mentors. Neither bragged nor wanted too much attention.

After their Warrior Ceremonies, the two went on a run in the forest and ran into a fox. They fought it off but Rustling Leaves was injured badly. He managed to heal quickly but was still out of commission for several days. Rustling Leaves told Robin Song to keep doing his job, and while Robin Song was patrolling and hunting, he got close to a she-cat named Snake Eyes. Suddenly, Robin Song and Rustling Leaves weren't as close at before. Rustling Leaves was pretty lonely until Red Neck, a warrior who'd been an apprentice before Rustling Leaves was born, started hanging out with him. It only took three moons before the two started to have feelings for each other, and they became mates not to long after.

Snake Eyes entered the nursery not to long after, and she and Robin Song had two kits, Feather Breeze and Adder Lily. The two kits were the exact opposite of Robin Song and Rustling Leaves, they loved each other, sure, but they spent a lot of time doing their own things. Three moons later, Red Neck also entered the nursery. A moon before she was supposed to go into labor, ShadowClan went into battle with SkyClan. Robin Song and Rustling Leaves both fought bravely, and ShadowClan won, but shortly after returning to camp, Robin Song died of wounds.

Everyone was devastated, but none more than Rustling Leaves. He wouldn't talk to anyone for days, until suddenly, he padded up to the deputy with a bright smile on his face and asked to join a patrol. Everyone was surprised by this, and when asked, Rustling Leaves answered, "I can't live my whole life sulking for my brother, I need to be happy, for him. So when I join StarClan, I can be happy WITH him."

A few weeks later, Red Neck had four kits. Two she-cats and two toms. Red Neck named one of the she-cats White Willow and one of the toms Shaded Leaf. Rustling Leaves named the other she-cat Hare Sprint, and, in honor of his brother, named the second tom Wolf Song.

All four kits grew to be excellent warriors, and Rustling Leaves couldn't have been prouder.

Life was pretty much normal for the next several seasons, until a harsh bought of greencough hit ShadowClan. Most cats survived, but a few, including Rustling Leaves, didn't make it.

At his vigil, Blaze Tail said this:

"At least he stayed happy, for now he has died with a smile on his face. Let it stay there as he shares tongues with his brother for all of eternity."
