Background: Takeda Iwatani is the younger brother of Naofumi Iwatani, the Shield Hero. Despite sharing a close bond with Naofumi, Takeda has his own destiny. He was chosen by the mysterious Earth to become Ultraman Gaia, a warrior of light who protects the Earth from otherworldly threats. He openly opposed the nobles of Melromarc Kingdom, especially Malty S. Melromarc, who tried to turn him against his brother by framing the latter for a crime he didn't commit. Takeda defended all innocent people who suffered from the corruption, and even helped his brother to overthrow Aultcray and Malty, subsequently earning Melty's hand in marriage as he had a crush on her. During the wedding ceremony, Malty tried to make Takeda hers while leading an assault on the kingdom, but he managed to defeat her thanks to the Ultraman Gaia Suit. Now he and Melty decided to travel around the Omniverse to help the Alien Dino Thunder Megaforce and The Plumbers against villains, fake heroes, evil aliens, rogue monsters, and others.
