Geography and Nature

Landscapes
The Winter Kingdom is surrounded by large mountains, parted only by deep caverns and stormy rivers. Within the mountains are snowy fields and frozen lakes and dead forests.

Weather/Climate
The Winter Kingdom has been cursed in an eternal winter. The origins of such a curse are unknown. But the people make-do in the forever-snowy lands. Snowstorms are common and sunny days do exist.

Flora/Fauna
Due to the harsh climate not a lot of plants can grow properly. However, there is one vine that can be found almost anywhere. It is dark blue and looks like ice. It doesn't shatter, however, and is rather sturdy. There is a flower of crystal that grows on it and is a symbol of care as the flower can shatter if not handled carefully. Gifting someone this flower is considered a marriage proposal due to its rarity and care to harvest.

Kari
(The triplets don't have faceclaims because they're children and we can imagine they all have white hair lol)

With the kingdom being typically protected from outside threats and dramas, it opened up the opportunity for the royal family to create their own. Because despite their natural protection the King and Queen are rather strict with their children and still concern themselves with titles and appearances. Dawn was never interested in such rules and traditions and wished to explore the world. She created a divide with her family early on but hasn't backed down despite her father's actions against her views.

The Kingdom Spirit

Talvi - Elle Fanning
A strong and loyal spirit, reflecting the values of her kingdom.

History and Conflicts
The Winter Kingdom has always been seen as an impenetrable fortress. Kingdoms tried to attack but with the landscape on the Winter Kingdom's side it was near impossible. After this, the kingdom has remained a neutral force ever since, finding themselves protected behind the mountains. They are a powerful yet reclusive kingdom, and have never stood up for either side in the Dark and Light Kingdoms feud.

Economics and Resources
The Winter Kingdom's most valued resources are ice, minerals and ores. With their weather, farming and agriculture isn't an option, when they need to use what little they have for the people. But with frozen lakes and cavernous mountains they have plenty other options to trade and sell. While most of their trading stays within the kingdom they still make enough profits to stay afloat.

Classes
While there is a clear divide between the royals and the commoners, there isn't much of a class divide between the commoners themselves. Due to the nature of the kingdom, both literally and figuratively, the people have found it easier to survive when working together. Rarely anyone gets left behind unless it's by choice. However, while the nobility would be considered upper class, they tend to use their power and money to assist commoners and fund their festivals and celebrations.

Culture

Fashion

Over time the people of the winter kingdom have developed thicker skin to withstand the cold temperatures.
The most common, and most practical outfits found among the kingdom are fur coats and cloaks, with long pants and jackets, and thick boots. These are worn among both the nobles and commoners.
Yet, fancier and more expensive outfits can be spotted among royalty and nobility. Long sleeve dresses and suits are commonly worn to balls and dinners. A lot of sparkles and glimmer to look like glittering snow.
Commoners are seen in mostly browns, whites and some blues with more furs and course fabrics.
The royals and nobility are seen in pristine whites, silvers and varying blues. The minerals not used in trading will be turned into jewellery commonly worn among those in the higher class.

Art and Entertainment
There are large markets among most towns every weekend for people to trade and buy things.
Tournaments are monthly throughout the kingdom and can vary from town to town. However, there is one tournament held in the heart of the kingdom and hosted by the royal family that people don't want to miss out on.
Festivals are also held monthly, some coincide with the tournaments, others don't. Most can last up to a whole week. The time is spent showing off art and skills and trading and entering competitions.
The nobility will host balls and feasts whenever they please. Most of these are open to the general public but some are reserved for nobles and royals alone.
Many ice sculptures can be spotted around the kingdom and are most common in town squares and fountains.

Magic
Most people from the Winter Kingdom are born with or can practice a base magic known as winter magic. There are teachers who specialise in teaching winter magic. This magic involves the manipulation of snow, ice and water. Advanced users can learn how to manipulate the weather - only in regards to snow and snowstorms.
Other forms of magic aren't highly practiced but they are not frowned upon. Some people may face questioning and arrest depending on what kingdom their magic type hails from and what their intentions are.
