Appearances: Long bodies, long legs, long necks, long tails. Fluffy faces and large ears. They wear a homemade mask on their face that they crafted themselves. It can have any shape and markings decorating it. They are usually painted with homemade paints made from blood, berries, or plants. They have cat paws and a cat tail. There are long quills on their back that are flexible and stick up when the Maskling is scared. They have retractable claws like cats too. Without their mask on, their face is shaped and looks like a cat face, but without a mouth or pupils. Their eyes are a solid color. Their fur can be white, black, gray, tan, or brown. They can have paint on their body and have painted on markings. Their eyes can be red, orange, yellow, or white. They can have spots, stripes, or splotches. All Masklings have bandages on their body somewhere.

Habitats: Mostly deserts, but some Masklings have been known to live in rainforests.

Beliefs: They believe that a Maskling should hide its face from the public. They believe that all other species are outsiders and should be killed. They also believe that they should cover their body in bandages.

Intelligence: They are a bit smart and have been known to craft spears.

Diet: Eggs, birds, deer, lizards, sometimes they even eat wolves and cats. (They do actually have mouths but they cannot be seen by mortals.)

Info: Some think that Masklings are the spirits of the dead that couldn't find the afterlife. Most stay away from them because they are extremely violent creatures. They have been known to drag off small children who are then never seen again, becoming Masklings. They are commonly called Shadow Cats. They can have accessories, but they are homemade only. Masklings can not speak, they can only communicate through body language and telepathy.
