The thought of numbness, something where you can't feel anything, the world is dark, cold and grey. The light does not filter through your eyes. You don't live, you are only surviving, trying to make it through another day.

    Then, every once in a while, someone touches you, and you see color, you feel love, joy, laughter, hate and sadness. All too soon, the color vanishes leaving you in the dark abyss that we call the world. You become sad, depressed, and then numb.

         The numbness is the worst of all three, because at least when you are in pain, you feel like you are alive, and living. The world in shades of gray and black, even the light of the sun does not filter through your eyes, and you exist in a listless state. Your mind becomes your prison, and your eyes become your window, but all prisons have bars.
