Oheta has a natural talent for both singing and playing the flute. Her sister, a very jealous and terrible Pokémon, enlisted the help of a Dusknoir to curse the younger Mawile. He cursed her soul to be bound to her flute.

If the flute breaks, Oheta will fall terribly ill. If she does not gain possession of a new flute or have her old one repaired in one hour, she will die. If her flute sustains any damage such as dents or scratches, she will feel pain and be weaker.

As an upside, she can control her own emotions with her music. By choosing a song that fits the tone of an emotion (such as joyful, angry, or sad) she will feel that emotion.

Despite her curse, Oheta still enjoys singing and playing her flute. After she was cursed, she left her home to travel the world and play for others. After a while, she became known as "the Shadowed Purity" for her effortlessly clear tone in her flute and voice.

Oheta is a very shy Pokemon who doesn't often show herself to others. She enjoys making others happy, but she hates to be seen because she's scared that if she's discovered, she won't be able to play for anyone anymore.

She is quite kind as well, which is why she plays and sings for others, but her shyness takes precedence when she acts.
