Personality: Aelin is a passionate woman, especially to the people she loves. When she feels something, she feels it deeply and strong. This can get her into trouble where she doesn't care about consequences and just does what she wants. She is carefree and teasing, flirting with almost everyone.

Family: Aelin comes from a long line of respectable people, her mother and father are proud people and have raised her to be a respectable woman, though that didn't really stick to her. Her brother's Rowan, Dorian and Chaol are as up tight about those things as her parents even though they joke with her when they are at home, her sisters Lysanra and her twin Manon are more loose. Manon especially cares even less about etiquette and being formal than Aelin.

Background: Aelin is the middle of 6 children, barely beating her twin Manon. Once they were born they were almost exclusively raised by nanny's and only once they were 12 really started to be raised by her parents and only so they could properly represent the family. Her grandfather was the one responsible for the difficult upbringing, he dictated the family home like a military operation and if you went against him you could very well be disowned for the smallest things. Her mother is more loose with the manners training but still quite stern. Her brothers often went riding in her youth and sometimes even took her with them while telling their father it was so she could learn how to behave at such outings, it was rarely like that though.
