Wattys Judging

Suggestion #1: Judge the Wattys entries by the content, not the number of votes, reads, and comments they get.

There are so many great works on Wattpad that don't win the contest because they aren't seen in the tags. I suggest that Wattys contest judges/"scientists" as they call them to create a better search result thing. For example, if the search results  have the most popular books show up first when searching term, there's not a single chance that a real undiscovered reader gets to win an award.

Example:
Book #1: a romance/5SOS/Justin Bieber/One Direction/cliché novel with over 50 thousand (50K) reads, 300 votes, and 1.3K comments (optional: the comments saying how great it is and/or shipping characters; author asks for votes, reads, and comments; lots of author notes; medium amount of incorrect grammar and spelling)

OR

Book #2: a non-fiction/science fiction/general fiction/historical fiction/NON-ROMANCE humor novel with 20 reads, 1 vote, and 5 comments (optional: there are over 10 chapters with good grammar and spelling and the author doesn't ask for votes, reads, or comments; little to no author notes)

I don't know, Watty judges, which one is fit to win: the most popular book on Wattpad or the well-written REAL undiscovered book that has no chance against the mass of 100M reads, 100K votes, and 100K comments on books?

You tell me "the most popular should win because people love it", but I say, "This is like voting and cheating. You vote for yourself and you win by default. If you cheated completely by making multiple Twitter accounts, you cheated your win. You give one person two awards in two separate Wattys contests and it's obvious they can speak one language, and that's against the rules, but you did it anyway. You let people vote for themselves; that's a big opportunity to cheat with multiple Twitter accounts either way. Regardless of that rule, you could still cheat by making multiple accounts."

Why not let the people on Wattpad vote on the app or website for certain books and not let them vote for themselves? Let there be one vote per person for each category the book is in and it has to be the first category the book is put in when judging starts.

We can vote for those people who are less likely to win and they can be more likely to win due to this.

It's fair. Every person on Wattpad should have the chance to vote on someone else's book, not their own, for the Wattys. But they can only vote once per category and the category cannot be changed when judging starts. Otherwise, that book is disqualified.

That's my suggestion.
