Edward may be wise and old, but he is good with kindly helping others out as a back engine because he lived on the Sodor railway for the longest time. I respectfully listed him as my fourth favorite character in the show because he is always busy, but I was surprised that he seriously decided to not let Rocky help him with tying down the load of heavy pipes when they first met in Season 10, due to his personality being physically taken out of character in the "HIT" era.
