Bella's P.O.V
As Charlie pulled into the driveway I started to recognize everything around me. I got out of the car and headed into the house. I was so thirsty on the way here that I could barely help from biting Charlie. "Dad, I'm heading out for a walk in the forest ok!?" I asked, heading towards the back door. "Sure honey, be careful!" "Of course dad!" I yelled as I walked out the back door.

I was stalking a mountain lion when I picked up another vampire scent. I quickly used my extra power to mask my scent so he wouldn't smell me as I watched him. He pounced on the mountain lion and bit its neck. I unmasked my scent and stepped out of the bushes. "Who are you?" I asked, the curiousness thick in my voice. "What's it to you?" He growled. "Nothing, just curious to know since I just moved to town." I said coolly. I searched his thoughts and found out that his name was Edward Cullen and that he had a whole family of vampires. "STOP SEARCHING MY THOUGHTS" He screamed. "So, Edward, I think we got off on the wrong foot here. My name is Bella Swan." I said, extending my hand. He warily looked at me and shook my hand " Don't worry, I would never dream of hurting your family. Now I really must be going, I am terribly thirsty and I must go find I new lunch seeing as you took this one. I believe I smell a nice, plump elk nearby." And with that I headed back towards the bushes "WAIT" Edward yelled after me. "Yes?" I asked, hesitating. "Umm... Would you like to come to my house later?" Edward asked hesitantly. "Sure!" I said, happy to get to know him more "You can have this if you want" Edward said, motioning to the Mountain Lion. "No thanks, I prefer elk. Besides, Mountain lion is your favorite, is it not?" I said quickly scanning his mind. After we exchanged numbers I went to find the Elk.

Edwards P.O.V

"I met a beautiful vampire girl while I was hunting today" I told my sister Alice when I got home "She looked so hungry that I felt bad about taking the mountain lion. *ding* My phone went off "who is it?" Alice asked " Bella" I said
