Summary:

When Daiyu is summoned with dozens of other girls to be the Emperor's concubine, she doesn't think that she'll be chosen. Although beautiful and kind, she's hardly qualified to be with the emperor, whose name is stained with blood and whose reputation is blacker than sin. When she accidentally catches the eye of Emperor Meilin, however, he surprises her by naming her his bride and future empress of the empire. How will the kind and sweet Daiyu escape from the clutches of the emperor? Will he capture his little rabbit, or will she run before it's too late?

Review:

As much as I hate the "I'm weak and fragile, therefore I need to be saved every 5 seconds"  type of story involving main female characters, for some reason I can cope with the way this has been written. I only say this due to cultural understanding of the females roles as being "delicate" and shouldn't work if her status is quite high.

Ignoring all that and the  main character naive way of thinking, I honestly do enjoy the book quite a lot. Only problem I see involves the lack of actual action happening  within the story. Realistically speaking, unless this book is turning into a series, why have I not seen some secrecy that leads to a damsel in distress type of problem or the 'enemy' popping up anytime soon, or just the couples fighting. There is no general feel to what is happening to the main character. Things we (as the readers) expect to occur isn't there and I'm still reading but not finding anything. To be honest the only mystery about the story is the Emperor himself, set from that, not even the main female character has much on her or the other characters... Which is quite disappointing.

With not much actually occurring, does  it need so many chapters? Yes you get some here and there where she meets a great amount of new characters per chapter or so, but it really just frustrate me to know the story hasn't moved much from simple things such as a character development.

I won't lie, it is a great piece of work done by the writer, but through personal preference, it would have been best to get this shit moving already. Set from that, as it is based on Fantasy, the story follows a smooth flow and isn't packed with loaded information as I was expecting. It's light in chapters and really does allow the readers to understand the writers mind too. Beautifully done to a point that I can recommend anyone who minds a nice romantic tale.
