Author Note: This is my second installment in the Origin series. In this one, it's all about the origin of rain. It might be dark, though. Enjoy!

Zeus, mighty of all gods, fell the day he lost his child, Hercules.
The death caused Zeus to experienced rage and guilt.
He knew that he shouldn't had let Hercules into the war, but now... It was too late.
That day, his heart torn into half as he experienced a new emotion; sadness.

Gods were incapable of having
'extreme' emotions, but as Zeus watched his son stabbed before falling from the sky, he felt... Different.
"Dad!" Hercules shouted as Zeus replayed the words from memory.
"Son." Zeus simply said as his knees buckled from the sudden impact.

"I-I'm so sorry." Zeus choked on his words as he felt his throat become tighter by the minute.
Despite fast thinking though, Hercules didn't live due to his wounds and the loss of blood.
Zeus knew that this was his fault, as there was no one to blame except... Himself.

With all of these emotions revolving around Zeus, the new emotion overpowered him as his voice grew weak.
As a result, wetness fell from his cheek.
Curious, Zeus glanced up before seeing it on his hand. He then decided to name the wetness, tears.
This triggered the sky as Zeus's tears fell to the ground.
His tears would change the mortal's world... Forever.

Down below, mortals were dealing with a drought that formed.
The only one who had accessed to the water was Poseidon.
However, Poseidon didn't know how to send water to the clouds, so he was forced to watch the mortals suffer.
Suddenly, water fell from the sky as he watched in awe.

While the mortals and Poseidon were overjoyed due to having rain, Zeus found himself occupied with despair.
When tears fell from the sky, the other gods and goddesses now knew that Zeus wasn't himself.

Today was the third anniversary of Hercules's death.
Zeus was crying, as everyone left him alone, not wanting to disturb his privacy.

Soon though, Zeus fell asleep as Olympus was quiet.
After he fell asleep, a bright white glow appeared before morphing into a ghost-like figure that resembled Hercules.
The ghost then spoke in a gentle tone. "Dad, it's okay. Please move on."

With those words, ghost Hercules vanished as Zeus woke up.
"Who's there!" Zeus shouted, but received no answer.
Much to his dismay, the only thing he heard was his own voice echoing back to him...

Author Note,
This is the second Origin story. My assignment was to write how rain existed, and this was my ending product.

I'm pretty proud of it, which says a lot about my self-esteem level.

Anyway, you can simply ask KahlenAkinli12, and she'll tell you that I wrote this.

I hope you all enjoyed this, and as always, I'll see you next time.

Stay miraculous and may your heart soar. Miraculous Love!
