Saturday.

It was finally Saturday.

You laid on your bed and stared at the ceiling. You didn't even know what time it was but you just wanted to lay there all day.

Well, that's what you thought.

"Come on Y/n, you can't be stuck in your room all day," Saeran said after knocking on your door.

"Nooooo." You groaned as you covered yourself with your covers in protest.

"Don't make me come in there."

"The doors' locked." You muffled.

"This is my apartment, I've got a spare key."

"I'm naked." You said bluntly. Okay, Saeran couldn't help but blush at your comment but shook it off.

"No, you're not, I'm coming in." You could hear the door unlocking followed by Saeran squinting just in case you were telling the truth. He sighed in relief seeing you were fully clothed in your Pj's. "Come on, get up." He walked over to you and tried to take off your covers.

And so the sheets tug-of-war began.

You struggled to pull as hard as you could, surprising Saeran by your strength.

"Stop being so lazy!" He grunted as he started to get the upper hand.

"Leave. Me. Be!" All of a sudden you could see Saeyoung at the door just kinda staring at you two.

"Um..." Was all he could say. You smirked and let go of the covers making Saeran fall back onto his brother. You couldn't help but laugh seeing them struggle to get up and yell at each other for being heavy or stupid.

"At least there's never a dull moment here." You walked past them and made your way to the kitchen to start your day.

~

"Thanks."

"Anytime." She said with a smile handing you your order.

"Hey, Min, do you know if Celest's home?"

For a moment she becomes preoccupied serving another customer. Closing the cash register she turned back to you. "Um." She was thinking before she leaned as much as could over the counter looking at the time. "Yup. She should be home by now."

"Yeah? Cool. It's been a while."  As you were going to say goodbye, in the corner of your eye you notice a familiar face at one of the tables.

Approaching the man, "On break?"

He looked up from his script, "Hey, beautiful. Yup, just chilling. Got plans for the day?" He said with a smile on his face as he straightens his posture.

"Yup!" said with more excitement than you'd have liked coming out. "In fact, I'm on my way right now to a friend's house." You continue to tell him about your plans, and at one point you noticed him staring at something, so you stopped to see what was so interesting.

You could feel your lips pull to a mischievous smile, "Well now," You pulled out a chair and took a seat, both bringing Zen's attention to yourself and waiting for him to spill.

"What?" He raised a brow, looking nothing but confused.

You don't answer, but still make it clear you want him to say something. After a fair amount of time, you decide it was no use.

He was never this dense.

Glancing back at her and then to Zen.

It looks like it's up to me.

"Well, I need to get going. Talk to you later." You finally wave bye to Min from the door.

From the cafe, you drive straight to Celest's place.

When you arrived and walked up to the front door, you knocked. Stoked about the day and patience a no-show, you grabbed the spare key from beneath a well inconspicuous plant in the corner.

Once in, you scour through the house until you find her at her computer, typing furiously at her keyboard.

A squeak coming from the door sets her off.

One second you're walking through and the next you have a gun pointed straight at you, aimed dead between the eyes.

"Take one step closer. I never miss."

"Is. Everything okay?" You confidently step forward, trying to meet her gaze.

"Y/n! Don't sneak up on me like that. I almost shot you!"

"Yeah~ but ya didn't. I repeat, everything okay?"

"Give me a minute." Five minutes later. "And I'm done!" Celest twirled around in her chair to face you, "So what brings you to my humble abode." She relaxed back into her swivel chair.

"I just thought we could hang a bit."

"That it? Aw, you missed me."

"Of course I do. Who else will I vent all my problems to? Who else can I complain to about my adorably nerdy boyfriend? Who else can I have a heart to heart talk with?"

"What's wrong between you and Saeyoung?"

"Nothing, I'm just saying."

"Well, since you're here. Have you watched the latest Avengers?"

"I haven't got the time."

"Well..." Celest pulls out a USB.

"You didn't."

"Who has the time to go to the movies?"

~

"I can't believe they just did that! How could they!"

"That didn't just happen! How are they supposed to-"

"You know the 'End Game's' trailer is out."

"Already?"

"Yeah."

"Do you think you can-"

"Y/N, are you asking me to hack into the studios' system to get the new Avengers movie?"

"Yes." You answered bluntly. Celest raised her brow at you to that reply sadly with a. "No..."

After the movie's over you switch off the TV. In the meantime, Celest answered the door.

"Chinese take out anyone?"

She placed the food on the table. "Ooh, fortune cookies." You said in a voice simmered with mystery.

You crack one open.

That's a strange thing to predict, cookie.

"What does it say?" She asks peeking over.

"~Betrayal will be your most frequent visitor~ Basically, my life. Next. What about yours?" She was about to tell you but you were interrupted. "Oh. Hold up, I got a message." You opened your phone to the message.

Saeyoung <3 :

I have a surprise for you.

Can't wait to see the look on your face

You're going to love it 😗

Y/n:

What are you planning this time?

The apartment better be in one piece when I get there!

Saeyoung <3 :

You're no fun

Don't worry, it'll be fine!

"So, What does yours say?" You ask catching Celest's attention.

"~Not all friends wish you well~Huh."

"I'm home! Miss me!" You smiled seeing a new friend come through the door. "Oh, you have a guest." Min said somewhat awkwardly "Sorry. I'll just-"She motions towards her room and gets right to grabbing her skating supplies. "Well, I'll be going. Ooooooh, fortune cookies. May I?"

"Sure. And I got you some noodles for the road." She cracks it open and leaves the paper on the table, completing ignoring it.

"So, what does it say?" You asked curiously.

"~You'll have a great day today.~ pft I doubt it. Madame decided I need a whole lot of work on my, basically, everything, so she's sticking around. I'm not a big believer in fortunes, So yeah. See ya, girls." She gave you two a small wave and left.

"So she's living with you again?" You asked taking a bite out of the cookie.

"Yup, But it was pretty hard to convince her." Celest gave a simple shrug.

"Right." Was all you said as you looked around the room. The both of you stayed in silence for a while before you spoke up again.

"So how are you doing? I noticed you have bags under your eyes again." Celest let out a big sigh.

"I've just been working really hard lately." You really didn't know what to respond since this was her job and you knew she needed it. You knew all about her, and she knew everything about you.

This wasn't a matter of income or sustenance, it was matter of principle.

"It's been a while, huh?" Your finger tapping against the noodle box.

"We've both been busy. Me, practice and work. You, work and showering your boyfriend with undivided attention. It's a busy life we have."

"Haha, very funny." You nudge her with your shoulder, taking another mouthful of noodles.

Celest hasn't changed much and she's always been there to lend a helping hand. It's what you love about her.

"Hey," she says slurping a noodle. "My parents called."

"What did they say?" You were now very concerned. You knew the type of people her parents were and this couldn't be good.

"Oh, just to let me know that someone the family knew passed away and regardless of our differences, I should be at the funeral."

"That's terrible. Are you going to go?"

"And waste my time being forced to interact with my parents, like nothing ever happened. No, thank you." You couldn't help but show her a sad smile.

"Hey! I've got a good idea to take your mind off things for a while." You face started forming a smirk.

"We're not hacking into the pizza place to get food." She pointed an accusing finger your way.

"I wasn't thinking about that! Although..."

"No."

"Alright alright, I was just thinking we could," You got up and ran over to a nearby closet. "Have some real fun." You took out the water guns you had put away about a year ago. You blew on them to get the dust off for more of a dramatic effect.

"Oh. You're on."

And so you two went to the rooftop and the fight began!

You guys had special water guns shipped from who knows where since Celest never wanted to tell you how she got them in the first place.

You didn't care about getting your clothes wet knowing you had another outfit laying around somewhere in Celest's bedroom.

Because of the overwhelming space and complete lack of places to hide, you and Celest were soaked in a matter of thirty minutes.

"Brings back old memories, doesn't it?" Your back against the single four-walled structure which opens to the staircase, you refill your gun and wait for a reply.

You don't get one and that made you more alert.

You circle the square structure.

Where could she have gone?

"Up here!"

And down comes a whole bucket of water.

Flailing your arms from the excess, you turn and aim. "My turn!"

It had literally come to a point where no matter who was getting hit it made no difference since you two were drenched head to shoes.

"I surrender!"

You lower your gun with a brow raised, skeptical, "Really?"

"I kinda have to. I'm out of ammo. Tossed most of it on you, remember?" A smile etched on her face. She turns for the stairs. Her arm locks on yours, "C'mon, before we get a cold."

The two of you walk back down to the apartment. After taking a warm shower and getting changed Celest makes some hot cocoa. The two of you sat down and reminisced over a couple of things.

"I still don't know why no one said anything."

"It is funny that we were supposed to be on opposing teams but ended up getting everyone else out."

"Right. With how much we bonded, everyone should have guessed we'd want to be teammates in that game of paintball."

"It's because we were late and they were jealous of how well we got along. Not to mention how we were just better than them at aiming, it's strategic planning. One excellent shooter for each team."

Both you laugh into your drinks, careful not to burn yourselves.

"Well, it also helps that we used to go to the shooting ring." You added.

"Right! I almost forgot!" Celest added a few mini marshmallows to her drink.

"How could you forget how we met!" You sounded overly dramatic and placed a hand on your heart to look extremely hurt.

"I'd never forget how bad you were at first." She gave you a playful push. "I swear I thought I'd die with you as my partner!"

"But you didn't." You two laughed wholeheartedly but your phone begins to ring interrupting you two. You look at the caller and its Saeyoung.

"Y/n, where are you?" He asks all worried like.

"Still at Celest's." You look towards your best friend.

"Hey Saebae!" She calls out. You could hear Saeyoung chuckle at the nickname.

"Tell her I say hi."

"He says hi." You giggled.

"Are you planning on spending the night there?" He asked.

"No. Why do you ask?"

"Have you checked the time?"

You pulled back your phone and your eyebrows arch.

When did it get this late?

"I'll be leaving in 5 minutes." He gave you an 'okay' and the conversation ended.

"Sorry, Celest, I've gotta get going." You started packing up your things.

"It's okay, I know you shouldn't be out too late, I should have mentioned it earlier."

"No no! Don't worry about it. We'll have to see what other days we can meet up again." You said with a smile.

"Of course!" She got up from her seat and gave you a bear hug.

"I'm really glad you came by today Y/n." She said in all honesty.

"Yeah me too." You replied sweetly. You two said your last goodbyes and you quickly make it back to Saeran's apartment.

In the back of your head, as you turn the keys in the knob, you remember that Saeyoung was supposed to have a surprise waiting for you. What you didn't know was when to expect it.

When you enter the apartment all the lights are off. "Sae-" you call was interrupted by someone pulling you on to the sofa.

"Sh~ You'll wake her."

Wake who now?

"Who?" You asked cautiously.

"Wait for it. 3... 2..." on one, the lights come on and there she is, dressed in the most frilly white and pink dress you have ever witnessed.

Saeran is going to kill you.

"How did she even-? Oh..." One look at Saeyoung and you wonder what was going through his head.

"They aren't that bad."

Have you seen your face?

"Not that bad he says." You rolled your eyes playfully and headed towards the bathroom for the first aid kit. Admittedly, Elizabeth looked adorable. Too much to bear even, she even had a small little bow tied around her tail, but at the expense of fifteen percent of your boyfriend's face with scratches.

What were you thinking?

You thought as you shook your head and applied the ointment to the scratches.

All of a sudden you could hear the jingling of keys followed by the door lock opening.

"Ohhhhh, you're in for it now." You teased Saeyoung and he gulped. Saeran carefully walked through the door, hands shaking, body trembling. You furrowed your eyebrows in worry.

"Sae-"

"Don't ask." He cut and walked straight to his room. You looked to Saeyoung and he simply shrugged his shoulder.

"I may be his twin but we can't speak telepathically Y/n." You huffed in annoyance and crossed your arms. "Why are you mad?? Did you really think I could just talk to him with my mind??" You looked away and pouted.

"Maybe..." You then looked back to his bedroom door. "We should go check on him." Saeyoung scratched the back of his head. "What?"

"Whenever he gets like this he usually wants me to leave him alone for a while."

"Did you not just see how he walked in here?" You were somewhat surprised and furrowed your eyebrows. "I'm going to check on him."

"Y/n-"

"You're not stopping me." You said as you walked towards his room. You took a deep breath and knocked on the door. "Saera-"

"Go away." You were shocked by his tone but you were too stubborn to let him wallow in sadness and fear alone.

"I'm coming in." You stated firmly. You slowly turned the doorknob and peeked into his dark room. He was laying down on his bed under the covers.

"Please just go away Y/n." He asked dearly a sob escaping his lips. You felt horrible and couldn't help but walk in and sit next to him on his bed.

"I'm not going to ask you to tell me what happened right now." You assured as you reached out to caress his hair in hopes of helping him calm down. He flinched under your touch but then relaxed a bit. "Whatever you're going through I don't want you to go through it alone." You could hear him sniffle followed by him turning to you and wiped away his tears.

It was so strange and out of place seeing him so fragile and weak. Just this morning you two were playing around and now, It was just, so unlike him.

"Thanks." He murmured. You reached out to give him a hug to which he gladly accepted. "Can you stay with me a while longer?" He asked softly yet so politely.

"Sure." You smiled sweetly. He scooted over for you and you pulled the covers up and over you to lay next to him. He then wrapped his arms around you and held you close.

"There were so many of them." He mumbled. You raised an eyebrow in curiosity but didn't ask him.

"It's okay, they're not here anymore, you're safe." You were waiting for a response but all you heard was his steady breathing.

He must have fallen asleep.

You thought as you let out a big sigh. You could see that the bedroom door was slowly opening, letting Saeyoung peek in. He was a bit surprised about the situation but then pouted.

"What about meeeee." He complained in a whisper, not wanting to wake up his brother.

"Shhh! I'll be out in a bit!" You whisper yelled and shooed him away.

"But you're my girlfriend." He was acting like a 5-year old that didn't get what he wanted. "Just you wait, I'll be giving you another surprise once you get out of here." He pointed a finger at you as he slowly walked away.

You didn't close the door!

You rolled your eyes and looked back at Saeran. You gasped once you noticed the bruises that covered his face from the faint light that shined through from the hallway. Pulling down the covers slightly, it was even worse on his arms.

What did they do to you?
