"Mr.Han, there's someone here to see you." Jaehee said through the intercom.

"Not now, tell them to schedule for another day."

"But Mr.Han-" Jumin cuts her off by ending the call and getting back to his work. Suddenly he heard his office door open making him sigh in annoyance.

"I'm not seeing anyone today, leave." He said angrily.

"Very nice office you have here, sweetie." Jumin lifted his eyebrows in shock and brought his attention to the woman entering.

"Mother?? What on earth are you doing here?" He asked as he wheeled himself to the door.

"Can't a mother visit her own son?" She asked as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

She made her way in and watched as Jumin struggled to close the door.

"I also got word of your little," She walked over and closed the door in one swing. "Accident."

"Actually it's been about 2 months since then but thank you for your concern." He said as he pushed the wheels towards his desk. "I know you're a very busy woman so thank you for your visit, I should get back to work." Jumin's mother let out a sigh.

"Another reason why I came here." She began, gaining his attention. "What happened to that little assistant of yours that you would mention from time to time?" She raised an eyebrow. Jumin gritted his teeth in anger.

"If you've come to speak about what happened between us the other day you're wasting your time, leave." He ordered bluntly. Jumin's mother slammed her hand on the desk making him flinch in response.

"Jumin Han!" She glared at him as he simply looked at her with a blank stare. "I know you've always been a hard worker but this has gone too far."

"She was acting out of place-"

"So yelling at her and telling her she's useless was the answer?!"

"I manage the people in my company mother-" She interrupted him once again.

"And that's exactly what they are Jumin. People. Do you know how disappointed I was when I heard you were mistreating another employee? And on top of that, she's your friend." She sighed and straightened her posture. "I was worried about this when you said you wanted to work with your father in the family business." Jumin narrowed his eyes.

"What are you trying to say?"

"I already spoke with your father and you are no longer going to work here." Jumin's eyes went wide.

"You what?" He breathed feeling his blood run cold.

"You Heard me, this is only stressing you out and worsening your health. You're clearly not capable of handling this kind of responsibility." She took out an envelope and took out some documents. "Everything's filled out, all you need to do is sign here." She pointed to the line. Jumin smacked the papers to the ground.

"Don't be ridiculous, I'm not resigning to my job!" He yelled at her.

"You're acting like a child Jumin, You're not as qualified as I initially thought you were."

"I put my blood sweat and tears into this company and I won't let you take it away!"

"And why not!"

"Because I worked hard to make this company better!"

"So did your friend Y/n!" Jumin froze, sudden realization hitting him like the car that put him in the wheelchair. "This is what I've been trying to tell you Jumin." Her tone changing into something more soft and kind. "I know you're frustrated that you can't walk for now, but soon it'll be over and you'll continue your life, but will you be able to go on with the guilt knowing everything you made that sweet girl go through?" Jumin sat back in his chair, letting every word sink in. "You don't have to be embarrassed to ask for help too you know?" She placed a gentle hand on his head and caressed his soft hair a few times just like she would do when he was a child.

"Mother." He finally spoke up clearing his throat. "Can you please tell someone to contact Y/n and tell her to come here immediately." She smiled lovingly at his decision.

"Sure thing." She kissed the crown of his head and headed for the door. "And by the way." She said before exiting. "The files are fake, so don't worry, the company's still yours." Jumin chuckled.

"I guessed that was the case."

"But if you fuck up one more time you're out." She gave him the 'I'm watching you' signal with her fingers and then left.

-

"Mr.Han." You said as you entered the office.

"Y/n, please take a seat." He said as kind as he could. You quietly listened and sat down. "Y/n..." He practiced countless times in his head before you got there of what he would say but now, his mind went blank. He held his hands and tried to come up with the next best thing.

"Jumin?" You said, he looked up hearing you finally call him by his name.

"I'm so sorry." His tone was tired and emotionally exhausted just like the expression on his face. "I should have never spoken to you that way, you are such a close friend of mine and I don't want to ruin that." He paused before continuing. "I just felt...stressed." You could see he was clearly struggling to get the words out. "I was so worried about who did this to me and if I would ever recover and if they would come for me again and-" You cut him short when you laid a hand on his shaking ones. He didn't even notice he was trembling. "I was just so, afraid." He added barely above a whisper. You were shocked when you noticed tears accumulating in the corners of his eyes.

You immediately got up and rushed to his side and pulled him in for a hug.

"I know, It's hard Jumin, but you don't need to be afraid anymore. Everyone's here to help you out. You don't need to carry this burden, and you don't need to bottle up these feelings, I'm always here to lend an ear." Jumin chuckled sadly.

"I always wonder how you do it."

"Do what?"

"Charm everyone you come across." You couldn't help but smile and blush the slightest bit.

"Guess it's just me being, me."

All of a sudden Jumin's phone started ringing and you noticed something different.

"Is that a new phone?" You asked with an eyebrow lifted.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He smiled and looked at the caller.

"Saeyoung?" You said out loud. You could see he was getting kind of nervous and hung up the call. "Jumin, what's going on?"

"It's nothing important, we should get back to-" His phone then started ringing again.

"Seems important to him." You crossed your arms over your chest. "Answer him." He was about to take the call but then you added. "On speaker." Jumin nodded his head and did as you said knowing who he was talking to.

"Hello?" Jumin answered.

"I found it!" He yelled making you two flinch.

"And?" Jumin urged for him to continue but now Saeyoung was the one at a loss for words.

"Well, it's a bit complicated."

"How so?"

"So far I tracked the car and the agency its filed under and from there on I hacked their system to see under what name it's at and it said it's luteus " You sucked in a sharp breath.

"Don't tell me.." You murmured low enough for Saeyoung not to hear you.

"It's Lucka's car." Your legs started to tremble as well as your hands from shock. "Please don't tell Y/n yet, I want to break it to her gently, I don't want her to do anything risky-"

"Too late." you said loud enough for him to hear. Saeyoung's heart dropped.

"Y/n?" He said.

"She just left my office." Jumin answered instead.

"YOU HAD ONE JOB, JUMIN."
