It was finally Saturday, and it was the kind of rest you needed.

You looked out the window and you could tell the temperature was starting to drop. You rubbed your arms for warmth and thought it would be best to get a jacket before you catch a cold.

"You up for a round of Mario Kart?" Saeyoung asked as he sat on the carpeted floor of his brother's apartment, completely worn out. You chuckled and took a seat next to him.

"You know I want our relationship to last?" You got a tired chuckle out of him. It's been a few days since Nathan appeared and lately Saeyoung was pulling a bunch of all-nighters. "Why don't you take a nap?" You suggested as you combed his messy hair back.

"Jumin's gonna send me new intel from his intelligence unit, I've gotta stay awake so I can add it to what I've got. So far, we've been investigating more on what Nathans been up to and about your brother and Rika." He sounded completely exhausted as he spoke. You had already filed a police report, but without any proof or evidence of Nathan actually holding Celest against her will, it was unlikely that your case will be taken seriously. However, Celest gone missing holds better than accusing Nathan and demanding his arrest.

"Look, I'll make you some coffee and maybe we can relax for a bit until you get that info, okay?" You offered. Saeyoung gave you a weak smile and nodded along with a yawn.

"Sure thing, babe." You smiled at him and made your way to the kitchen. You were glad to see there was still some of that Peruvian coffee and brewed some up for him. As you were pouring the steaming liquid into the cups, you suddenly got a call.

"Y/n, turn on the news." Her voice was urgent.

"Oh-Okay," You said as you head back to the living room, remote now in your hand. "But Jaehee, what am I-"

Reports of CEO of C&R co, Jumin Han, having allegedly influencing stock value. Causing an absolute plummet in recent shares.

"Did you hear that?" She asked.

"Yeah." You say with a tone of disbelief.

"It's been like that all morning. And that's not all."

"There's more?"

"You won't believe the rumors that have been spread around about Zen."

"What do you mean?"

"Wait. Check your WhatsApp, I sent them earlier." There was an image attached, a simple photo of Zen flashing a smile with the headline in big letters.

Your eyes widened in disbelief. "What the- Zen would never do something like this!"

"I know that, you know that, but everyone else is beginning to believe it. His fan base is turning against him because of it." Jaehee answered in a sorrowful tone,

"That can't be-"

"Y/n, it doesn't end there." You wait for the next wave of bad news. How can any of this get any worse?

"Yoosung got suspended..."

"What?! For what???"

"He attacked a student."

"What the hell is going on?! Yoosung would never hurt anyone!" You wracked your brain to think of why all of this was happening all of a sudden. You felt your blood run cold and your heart race when you realized who did this, it was plain and simple.

Nathan.

You sat on the couch and took a deep breath. Everything was going wrong and you knew it. You could feel how your whole life was tearing at the seams, this made the 'V' situation look like child's play.

"Y/n?" Saeyoung asked standing up from his chair, looking at you with concern in his eyes.

"Don't." You stopped him from getting any closer. "Just..." You didn't even know what to say. You leaned your elbows on your legs and held your head in your hands as if that were the only thing keeping you together.

"I know this seems bad but-"

"Bad??" You whipped your head took look at him with glassy eyes that would break his heart in two. "Babe, Nathan almost killed Jumin, Luka's been working hard in the company that apparently Rika owns and he's in danger because of Rika whos doing who knows what while Celest is held captive! And I don't know what to do! Don't say things are bad because things aren't just 'bad' they're horrible!" You could feel the tears slowly falling and not showing any signs of stopping.

"I know but I mean we can...I can...We'll..." Saeyoung began, but this time...

He really didn't know what else to say.

He knew how shitty the situation was and there was no way to try and look at the positive side because there wasn't. "I'm sorry." He breathed in a shaky voice. "I don't know what to do either." He ran a hand through his hair as he took off his glasses from the stress. Hearing him so broken and dishearten made you feel worse if that was even possible. You lifted your head and held your hands together trying to stop the shaking to no avail.

You felt the sobs coming and tried to calm yourself but it was no use. You felt frustrated, useless, and out of options. You got up and walked slowly towards the bathroom.

"Y/n?" Saeyoung asked once more as if it were going to help in some way. He suddenly heard various things fall and crash on the ground. He rushed to the bathroom to see you holding onto the sink and glaring at the ground where everything broken laid. You slowly looked up at the mirror and something clicked in Saeyoung's mind making him stop you before you could smash your fist against it.

That's when the loud sobs came out and you couldn't stop. Saeyoung desperately tried to guide you out of the bathroom without stepping on the shards that were scattered all around and lead you back to the couch. You held onto him tightly and buried your face in his chest.

"Why? Why can't we live a normal life without all of this shit happening to us! I just want to have a normal day where I don't have to worry about anything but us and what we're going to do on the weekend or what we're gonna eat for dinner or if we want to go out with our friends. I want to not stress about ridiculous things like someone's out to get us, or that one of my friends might be in danger or that-" Saeyoung silenced you by planting a soft kiss on your lips. You two parted and he looked into your tear-filled eyes with his own glassy ones.

"I'm sorry I can't say that everything will be alright or that everything's going to be fine because it's not." He pulled you in for another kiss and then back to pouring out his feelings. "I'm sure things won't get better any time soon so all I can do for now is say that I love you in every single way possible and that I'll be here, by your side, through thick and thin and the thing that matters most to me is that you're here with me." Saeyoung took you into his arms and held you tight as if you would disappear if he let go.

"We'll get through this together like we always do." Were his last words on the subject and simply held you in his arms as long as he could.

You stared blankly at the wall wondering what you should do but then noticed,

This is why you loved him.

No matter how hard it gets,

How hopeless it seemed,

He would be there, and you knew it.

You hugged him back and buried your face in the crook of his neck.

How did I get to be with such an amazing person? Fate? Luck? Destiny?

A simple message?

Remembering everything you two went through to get to this point was laughable.

It was a game. Just a game. No one would believe you if you told them all the things you've done.

"You never cease to amaze me, Saeyoung Choi." You murmured as you held him tighter.

You didn't know how much time passed but having this one moment was all you wanted.

Slowly, you two started to get sleepy and decided to just sleep on the couch, and would deal with the consequences later. This was your moment. And you planned on savoring it as much as you could.
