Your name? (Only if you want.)/ Unusual Username - How did you think of it?

Ans: I'll keep my name private, however, I'll let you know my friends call me 'Carrot'. My username took a while to figure out. I'm known as the innuendo in my friend group so it came to me in a daydream (weird - I know!) that I wanted to include it and because it came to me in a daydream I thought, why not? The rest is history and I'm in love with it.

 How did u come to know about Wattpad?

Ans:  An old friend from around 4-5 years ago introduced me to the app and showed me the ropes, ever since I've been an addict writer and reader, here in this large community! What inspired you to write? I love being in control of MY own realities. It's not only fun to write, but I can also make the reality of a universe whatever I want it to be. The sky could be green and the grass could be blue if I really wished! Not only this, but I love the idea of positively impacting somebody's day/life. Whether it be their escape from reality or helping them with a situation my characters are going through that they also are or can relate to. Writing is also MY escape from reality. It's both therapeutic and fun. It's my dream to become a novelist/author and I'll do everything I can to get there. This is only the beginning for me and I can't wait for my future in writing.

How did you expect your book to fare?

Ans: I didn't expect much from my book. It started off as a fun thing to do after classes. As Jason Todd doesn't have that many fan-fictions within the live-action Titans universe I knew I would get reads eventually but after only a month of writing, I had a good few thousand reads - which blows my mind (and still does)!

 Were you apprehensive?

Ans:  A little. I didn't wanna disappoint any Jason stans and I also wanted to take my writing seriously and take my time writing this book so that I don't repeat my personal past experience with writing (plot-flow issues, I'm finally overcoming it!). Luckily, people have been responding positively with what I've written so far and that's all I could ask for.

 Did you expect to win?

 Ans: I honestly didn't! I expected to be in maybe the top 5 but winning has been such a confidence boost in my writing and has made me proud of what I've written. How do you deal with hate comments? I have yet to get any hate comments and I know eventually I will get some. Especially with what I have planned. I'll maybe get upset but I won't let them really impact me.


 Any advice to novice writers on 1. Writing tips, 2. gaining readers?

Ans:

1. Don't forget your characters are also humans, they can make mistakes. Also, remember the five senses (touch, smell, taste, hear & see) when writing suspenseful or romantic (c;) scenes. Trust me - your readers will love it.

 2. I don't really know on this one. Maybe try deleting unnecessary tags and replacing them with ones to do with your plot or characters. Maybe try getting your friends to share your book with others too. Also, ignore people who hate cliches! Chances are, your plot will fall into a cliche at some point. Plus we all love a good cliche moment. Wait... I haven't 'popped a p' yet.

 Ans: 1M readers, reads are how you get noticed.

 Ans: Romance... I'm a sucker for forbidden lovers.

 Favourite fandom?

Ans: Either DC or Marvel... it's a tough one because I'm in so many!

Favourite author?

Ans: TheBibicalSinner his books may be a little smutty but the plots and characters are swoon-worthy!

 Favourite book?

Ans:  Again... this one is tricky. I'll probably have to the 'The Cell Phone Swap' though as it was my first WP novel to read so it holds a special place in my heart. Or Dorm Room 210 as there was once a huge comment chain that I was once in and it was where I met very close friends. Both awesome books that I recommend!
