That Goodbye Moment
A moment in time, where nothing else matters
Where you are focusing on just one
Your heart in you, it pitter-patters
At the thought that at last it is done

That moment is painfully full
Filled to the brim with yearning
And myself back I don't pull
Even if my heart in me is burning

A smile on my face, real but still
The pain in my eyes you'll see

An image of your face and smile
Burns into my mind and memory
And I know that it'll stay for a while
