Inazuma Town. A rather interesting place. Located all around this town are something called shrines. A place where you can contact the other realm and summon it's dwellers. Now meet Y/n. A young 16 year old girl who takes care of the shrines. She clears out loiterers, makes sure they're in top shape, gets rid of litter...etc. Now meet her best friend, Kiyama Hiroto. He lives in the town in a house near Y/n. He spends a lot of time around shrines, and will sometimes disappear for a few days. Anyway, I'll take you to the present day, at Y/n's House.

"I'm going to be late!" Y/n rushed around, trying to find her stuff. It was after school, and she was due to be meeting Hiroto at the shrine nearest to their houses. She finally had everything she needed, and rushed to the shrine. Oddly enough, no one was there. Or so she thought. She'd cleared it up in the morning, and she took note of how clean it was, but what she failed to notice was that the symbols on the ground were lit up, meaning that something had crossed through, and was still there.

"And who might you be?" a menacing voice pierced the air behind her. Y/n froze in fear, and forced herself to turn around. Standing there was the owner of the voice and another figure. Demons. "Oh, look Suzuno, she's cute!" "That may be true, but humans aren't supposed to be around demons when they cross through. You of all demons should know that Nagumo. So human, tell us your name." Y/n swallowed and spoke nervously. "I-I'm Y/n, and my f-friend told me to meet him here. But he's not here, and if I'd have realised that there was demons here I'd have never come." She spoke a lot more bravely than she felt. "Well, I suppose that's alright then. Just don't let us catch you here again." "What? Suzuno, don't just shoo here away, she's cute!" "Oh, you and your attractions towards humans!"

 Y/n had slowly started to inch away, but the demon with red hair stopped her. "Hey, don't go! We're not-- actually, we are dangerous, we're not planning on harming you. Stay here for a bit, that's an order." Y/n nervously stepped a little closer to the demons, who looked rather intimating. The generic look for a demon was a set of horns, wings and a tail. These two had all three, only one had white and blue and the other had black and red. 'A fire and ice demon.' she figured. Oh, and they were shirtless. Just be thankful they weren't incubus' (Incubi? Incubee? Incubuses? What is the plural of Incubus?) or this would be a tad different. "So, Y/n, I'm Nagumo, the fire demon, and misery guts here is Suzuno, the ice demon. As you humans would say, I suppose we are 'Best friends'." Suzuno scoffed. "We're acquainted. That's all a human needs to know." (Aaaaw, Suzuno us such a Tsundere. He's our little Tsun-Tsun.) "I-I'm sorry, I should go--" Nagumo slung an arm around her shoulders, forcing her to remain with them. "Oh no sweetheart, you're not going just yet, right Suzuno?" he purred. Suzuno nodded, to Y/n's surprise. "Stay a little longer, we want to know you better. You can start by telling us a little bit about yourself, all we know is your name." And that's how Y/n ended up befriending two ice and fire demons.
