Lucy felt an overwhelming feeling, almost like a flame within her was about to explode.

"Right, Right, Natsu-Kun~?" Said a sing-song (and to Lucy Annoying voice).

"Uh... Right..." Natsu looked down very uncomfortable at the brown haired girl, her name was Opal. She had bright nighttime blue eyes, and wore a pink well fitted sundress. That showed her small waist and her deep clevege that she pushed onto Natsu's arm.

Lucy silently huffed in annoyance. Watching them from behind.

Opal was the result of a mission... But no one mentioned her, Lucy, Happy, and Natsu were sent to protect the guests at a very important dinner party. But when the building was set on fire they were in charge of rescuing everyone.

And Natsu saved Opal where she 'realized' they were soul mates and he was her prince.

The whole walk back from reciving their reward to the train station was silent since even Happy felt to awkward to say anything.

"You know, Natsu-Kun daddy's a very important man with lots of money..." Opal said looking up at Natsu her eyes were flirtatious like, only to have disappointment upon seeing Natsu's lack of interest.

"And..." Opal thought for a second. "We live in a big mansion..." Opal said in a girlish tone, pressing up agains Natsu.

Seeing this made Lucy's anger rise that much more.

She wasn't quite sure why seeing Natsu being attacked (how Lucy sees it) by a woman made her so angry.

"Oh! Natsu-Kun look! A compability test!" Opal exclaimed excitedly pulling Natsu with her to a bright pink machine with a heart icon 'top of it. "Lets try it please~?" Opal pushed her clevege onto Natsu who seemed more annoyed and or uncomfortable than anything.

Which only made Lucy scoff from a distance, though this didn't escape Happy's eyesight. Seeing this a plan arose in his little mind.

"Ug... Let go your annoying..." Natsu rolled his eyes, Opal giggled at his "shyness".

"Natsu-Kun!" Opal whined. Natsu glanced back at a troubled Lucy, pushing Opal off his arm, which surprised her.

"Luce? You okay?" Lucy looked up swiftly to be met with Natsu's gentle stare, instantly her face flushed red, this feeling shes had since Opal showed up, started to make sense

I'm... Jealous? Lucy thought before shaking her head, no, me? For Natsu? We're only friends... Right?

Looking back up at Natsu, his gentle worried look, one he's always had. His caring stare and his slightly upright lips as he smiles worriedly after saving her, Lucy begins to recover her thoughts.

"I...I'm fine." Lucy stuttered tucking a strand of blond hair behind her ear nervously, her eyes scrolled to meet Natsu's lips before swiftly looking back into his eyes.

Natsu, of course noticed this, but not really understanding his instinct took over as he blushed slightly too, looking down at Lucy's lips--that suddenly looked so tasty--only to sheepishly look back into her eyes.

Happy snickered in the background, playing out his plan in his head.

"Um... Ah-hem!" Opal said annoyed, snapping both Lucy and Natsu from their stare before they blushed turning away from one another.

What was that?! Lucy panicked in her mind. There has to be something there, right? It wasn't just me.

Natsu looked at Opal annoyed.

"Lucy," Happy whispered, getting her attention.

"What?" She asked looking at him.

"The girl won't let Natsu go," Lucy glared into the back of Opals head.

"So?" Lucy said trying to pretend to not care, this dispite her efforts, did not fool the flying blue cat.

"So, prove to her that Natsu isn't hers, take the love test as well..."

"And why would I do that?"

"Well, if you want Natsu to live in peace..." Happy snickered flying away, he, of course, had alternative motives.

"Opal, you shouldn't force Natsu to do something." Lucy said slightly embarrassed suddenly for speaking aloud.

Opal and Natsu both turned to Lucy, there was some sort of carnival of love.

"Um... Who are you?" Opal said snubbing like, this pissed off Lucy.

"Um. I'm Natsu's partner who HELPED rescue you." Lucy glared at her. More annoyed than before.

"Oh." Opal said disgusted. "I thought you were one of Natsu-Kuns stalkers." Lucy's eyes twitched.

"Oi," Natsu swiftly pulled his arm from Opals grasp. "Lucy's my friend, don't insult her." Natsu said angryly. Opal scared looked at Natsu before smiling.

"Fine." Opal smirked, whipping her hair back. "Lets make a little bet," Natsu looked confused as Lucy walked closer.

"What kind?" Lucy asked.

"We both take the Compatibility Test with Natsu-Kun" Opal pointed towards Lucy, whoever gets the highest score gets Natsu-Kun all to themselves!"

Natsu's eyes widen. His mind was drawn to a blank as Happy snickered in the background.

"Your on!" Lucy said determine, it took her about about a couple seconds to realize what she said. But before she could say anything Opal spoke out.

"I'll go first! And Let me show you the power of true love~!" Opal exclaimed proudly.

Opal grabbed Natsu's arm, pulling him to the pink machine, that looked like an arcade game, with a little heart on the very top of it. A little joy stick in the middle where the couple would both grab and magic would test out their traits and see their compatability.

Opal grabbed quickly onto the joy stick. Forcing Natsu's hand onto it too.

The machine began to glow, and move slightly, before it stopped and the screen in front had letters upon it.

It spoke.

"This relationship won't last long, their probably isn't even a mutual love here!" And right next to the words on the screen is had a picture of a broken heart and a 10%.

Opals eyes widen, gazing at the screen.

"Stupid thing must be broken." Opal muttered attempting to hide the nervous tone in her voice.

"Okay." Lucy sighed, "my turn." She pushed Opal out of the way, putting her hand on the joy stick, Natsu willingly put his as well.

What Lucy hoped for was maybe a 20% or a 50% would be nice, just enough to beat Opal.

Once more the machine began to glow and shake louder than before, Lucy shut her eyes, praying under her breath that it wasn't lower than Opals--It was for Natsu sake... yeah... at least that was what Lucy kept trying to tell herself.

"This couple... Wow! You are practically soul mates! True love! Both love each other and share a mutual bond of love" Next to those words a big put together heart and a rating of 100%

Lucy felt her heart drop, and rise from the utter shock.

Opal gasped loudly at the sight.

"No! Way! You cheated." Opal accused Lucy.

"The hell?" Lucy exclaimed. "Why would I cheat?" She crossed her arms.

"Because you... um... want... no... uh... Natsu-kun to... Um... because..." Opal began searching for an accusation but couldn't come up with one. "I refuse to accept this!" Opal exclaimed loudly.

"But you said--!"

"Shut up! I don't care, Let Natsu-Kun choose."

Lucy frowned looking away, blushing slightly. Opal jumped over to Natsu hugging his arm into her clevege. "Natsu-Kun," Opal said sweetly.

"Jeez," Natsu sighed. "Honestly this is so dumb." Natsu whispered under his breath. "You're an idiot."

Opal's eyes widen.

"Uh... Natsu-Kun..."

"Go away, you're really annoying."

Opal let go of Natsu's arms.

"B-But..."

"Lucy, lets go." Lucy looked at Natsu, she herself was a bit scared, they walked along no longer being followed by Opal, who had stood watching them from a distance.

"Natsu, wasn't that a bit harsh..." Lucy reached to touch Natsu's arm, before swiftly pulling back, suddenly feeling embarrassed.

"It was annoying." Natsu tched.

"But thats still no way to talk to someone." Lucy scolded Natsu, they both stopped walking. Natsu turned around and took a couple steps towards Lucy. Eventually he had her cornered against a building, hands--each at the side of her head.

Lucy's heart felt as if it could leap from her chest, the wind rushed by a silence around them, and the street empty.

"N-Natsu..." Lucy blushed widely looking up at Natsu, who sternly looked down at Lucy.

"What was that?" Natsu asked serious like.

"What was what?" Lucys eyes wandered down from Natsu's to his lips then quickly back up again.

"The deal, you made with Opal, what was that?"

Lucy's face felt like it could burst into flames, her face a bright pink color and steam almost left her ears.

"I-I-I-It w-w-was o-on i-impulse..." Lucy stuttered out, looking away from Natsu.

"Impulse?" Natsu repeated, Lucy looked at his hard face, he was closer than before.... HE WAS CLOSER THAN BEFORE!

Lucy repeated the thought in her head.

"I see," Natsu spoke breaking the silence.

"Yeah." Lucy gasped out. She watched as Natsu's hands dropped and were stuffed in his pockets, he turned around starting to walk once more.

"Alright, lets go."

Lucy's chest seemed to shatter in disapointment. She sighed and began walking a couple meters behind Natsu, who only folded his hands behind his head.

Lucy mentally scolded herself, that was your chance Lucy-idiot!

Lucy sighed, rubbing her arms.

"Lucy." Lucy looked up at the blue cat, she had forgotten he was here.

"Yeah, Happy?"

"You should tell Natsu the truth, confess," Lucy's eyes widen.

"Why would I do that?" Lucy frowned blushing looking away.

"Its the truth, isn't it?" Lucy's eyes wandered to the ground, then back up to stare at the back of Natsu's head, she jerked her gaze.

"Does it even matter? He obviously--"

"Lucy." Happy interrupted, Lucy lookd at him.

"What?" She asked.

"Confess, tell the truth." Lucy looked at the serious cat. Before sighing, her heart ached and she felt like she had lost her voice.

"I... I can't." Lucy sighed loud for Happy to hear, but not Natsu.

"Oi, we're here." Natsu said sickly, remembering the thoughts of his train rides.

"Yeah, coming," Lucy sighed. Walking faster.
