A fourteen year-old shot and killed his Father in their home before driving to the local elementary school and opening fire while shout "I hate my life." Teachers locked the doors before he could inside. The shooting was over quickly, the gun jammed twelve seconds after the teenager started firing. One student was shot in the leg and died three days later. The shooter in question had attended the elementary school when he was younger. He was expelled from the middle school earlier in the year for bringing a hatchet and a machete to school. He was tried as an adult and is now serving life in prison without the chance of parole.
