A twenty-three year-old male student shot and killed two in the dorms, thirty more in a classroom building, and then himself. The death total was thirty-three, the highest amount of lives every taken during an American school shooting. Since there are a lot of victims, the shooter will not be included, my wonderful team helped me find and research all of the beautiful people taken too soon.

Ross A. Alameddine, 20

About Ross: He was a sophomore English major, was in french class when he was shot. He had a subversive sense of humor and intellect.

Christopher James Bishop, 35

About Christopher: Taught German at Virginia Tech. He helped oversee an exchange program, collaborated with German University.

Died in classroom building

Brian R. Bluhm, 26 

He loved God and expressed his love for his family and friends through kindness and his warm smile. He loved learning, history, nature, music, and animals.

Ryan Christopher Clark, 22

A young man active in many social organizations. He earned a bachelor in science with a triple major in psychology, biology, and English.

Austin Michelle Cloyd,18

She was an athlete, who played and loved basketball and volleyball in high school. Cloyd spent four summers on missions with the Appalachian Service Project, where she helped to renovate homes. She cared for her family and friends very much.

Jocelyne Couture-Nowak, 59

She was a professor of French at Georgia Tech, and had been for 16 years. She had lots of community spirit and loved nature. She had a very peaceful life, and will be remembered by many.

Kevin P. Granata

He was a professor in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Tech. Although he was very passionate about his work, he cared about his family very much. A colleague describes him as "caring and pure of heart."

Matthew Gregory Gwaltney, 24

He loved sports and played both basketball and baseball. He had many friends and was very devoted to his family.

Caitlin Millar Hammaren, 19

About Caitlin: She loved riding horses, singing, and playing the Violin.

Jeremy Michael Herbstritt, 27

About Jeremy: Career goal to be a Civil Engineer. He loved to run, track and field, and cross country. He ran in three marathons.

Rachael Elizabeth Hill, 18

About Rachel: Wanted a HD in Biochemistry. She loved to read, was an accomplished pianist, loved watching movies, playing volleyball, and shopping for shoes.

Emily Jane Hilscher, 19

She was a skilled horsewoman, animal lover, enthusiastic cook, and imaginative artisan. Emily was always wise beyond her years and insisted on fairness in everything.

Jarrett Lee Lane, 22

He was a senior at Georgia Tech when he fell victim to the shooter. Jarrett played the trombone, ran track, and played football and basketball at Narrows High School. He was fun-loving and talented, and will be remembered.

Matthew Joseph La Porte, 20

The cadet in the Air Force attempted to barricade the door and keep out the shooter. When the murderer did manage to break in he charged at him without hesitation and sustained seven gunshot wounds. He sacrificed his life to save others.

Henry J. Lee (Henh Ly), 20

He was the ninth child of ten children and one of his proudest moments was becoming a U.S. citizen. He died helping the teacher block their classroom door.

Liviu Librescu, 76

He survived the Holocaust. After teaching at the school for twenty he died barricading the door to his classroom. This allowed the students in the room to jump out the upper windows to safety. His son loved him dearly.

G.V. Loganathan, 53

His students said he had pulled all-nighters with them when they needed help and was always there to make sure the students succeeded. He left behind his wife and two young daughters.

Partahi Mamora Halomoan Lumbantoruan, 34

He was a student hoping to go back to his home country of Indonesia to teach. The young man was described as quiet, but kind and he had an amazing work ethic.

Lauren Ashley McCain, 20

She believed firmly in God and that he had sent her to the school for a reason. She deeply loved the campus, her teachers, and classmates. Those who knew her said that always made them feel welcome and accepted.

Daniel Patrick O'Neil, 22

About Daniel: He was a graduate student at Virginia Tech and studied Environmental engineering. His hobbies included singing, song writing, and playing guitar.

Due to only being able to post twenty photos per chapter and the amount of people this will continue on into the next chapter. All of the victims will be named though.

As always I do this for my little sister, may you remain alive and untouched. I love you.
