Christmas Fear

Through the flurry, santa packed his sleigh in a hurry.

The reindeers pranced, their bells ringing.

The elves rapidly worked, cheerfully singing.

Christmas cheer, at the busiest time of the elfin's year.

The magic of christmas that all children hold dear.

Trees lighted in splendor shining brite.

The reindeers anticipating their flight.

Little ones tucked peacefully in bed.

Sugar plums and presents twirled in their heads.

Little did they know they had something to dread.

Krampus marched across roofs with a empty sack.

Those that don't believe or are naughty, aren't expecting an attack.

He snatches them out of their beds.

Looming with a menacing stare.

His low growling chuckled fills the air.

Their heads peeking out terrified from the sack, he carried with ease on his back.

Roof top to roof top he travels fast, until every last non believer has been carried away.

Toys collected and taken away.

Horns and hooves with an ash stained cloak.

The unpleasant smell of sulfur and smoke.

Sharp nails, leaving a trail of fear.

Santa made his list and checked it twice.

Sending the naughty list to krampus of those that aren't nice.

Those without a heart of cheer, have much to fear.

Lend me your ears as you settle down on a long winters night.

Santa's not the only one to take flight.

Light your trees with sparkles, shiny and bright.

Leave out cookies on this special night.

Whisper to children not to fight.

Pick up toys and spread the word of christmas joy.

Krampus may come if nothing is done.

Merry Christmas they sing loud and clear.

Scampering to bed with hopes that santa may be near.

The father of Christmas cheer.

Or perhaps krampus his brother Christmas fear.
