Day 32:

B E E P....B E E P....B E E P....B E E P..

Where am I? What's that noise? What...what happened?

Dipper strained to open his eyes but it felt like his eyelids were glued shut. Like they had heavy weights on them. Dipper felt his head throb.

What did happen? What can't I wake up? Where am I?

B E E P...B E E P...B E E P...B E E P..

Dipper felt exhausted, but he honestly didn't know why he felt this way. It could've been anything.

What happened yesterday...?

B E E P....B E E P....B E E P....B E E P..

Wake up...Wake up...Wake up...Wake up WAKE UP!

But he couldn't get himself to open his eyes.

Wake up...Wake up...Wake up!

Dipper finally opened his eyes slowly. He glanced around the room and realized that-

"This is not my room." He murmured stupidly.

He tried to sit up, but he felt like his body wouldn't obey him at all. He struggled, but he couldn't get himself to sit up. Sighing in defeat, he laid himself on the uncomfortable pillow and continued to wonder where he was.

Day 33:

"I don't care what Mabel said, Gideon, I'm going to see him." Pacifica threw on a sweatshirt and tossed on a pair of sneakers.

"Aren't you worried that she'll slap you again?" Gideon asked from where he sat on the couch. "I don't like that girl....She can scare me."

"You and me both, Gideon, but she can't push me away forever." Pacifica grabbed her house key in case she got locked out, "I'll be back later."

"Does this count as falling for Dipper?" Gideon asked before Pacifica closed the door.

But this time Pacifica didn't answer him. She didn't know how she felt about the brown haired mystery. He had over-complicated feelings towards her, Pacifica was sure of it, but Pacifica knew what his motives were.

As Pacifica edged closer to the hospital, she was nervous about how Dipper would react or that Mabel would have another freak out. Pacifica whispered to the secretary, about where Dipper was and explained that she was a friend of his. Pacifica quickly walked up the stairs to the second floor and walked to the room where Dipper was supposedly in. She knocked on the door and waited. "Come in," the voice called from in there.

Pacifica opened the door and saw Dipper laying in the hospital bed and another someone was at his side. But Pacifica was lucky that it wasn't Mabel. It was only that little girl Dipper had met and befriended. Kaori looked up and smiled. "I knew you would show!"

Dipper groaned and shifted and Kaori winced. "Sorry..you'll have to be quiet, Pacifica, he's not awake."

"Was he awake before?" Pacifica hoped.

"Mhm." Kaori said, picking up a book that Pacifica thought she'd recognize, it was a book called The Final Warning by James Patterson. Pacifica had heard of that author but she had never read any of his books. "Okay Dipper, where was I?" She giggled at the silence and began reading from a chapter from the book, " 'MAX!' I was assaulted by excited bird kids as soon as I stepped over the threshold."

"Can he hear you?" Pacifica asked, making Kaori stop reading.

"I'm not entirely sure, he doesn't respond, but somehow, I think he knows that I am speaking to him, and that I'm here, and that he's okay." Kaori whispered.

"You're six, right?" Pacifica asked.

"Yep,"

"How'd you learn to read like that?" Pacifica was surprised at how well the six year old read when she was sure that at six she was a terrible reader.

"I've had a lot of time and years of practice." She explained with a smile.

"He'll be okay right?" Pacifica asked, on her way it.

That's when Kaori heaved a sigh, "I...I just don't know."

Day 34:

Left in the darkness, here on your own. Woke up a memory, feeling the pain.

B E E P....B E E P....B E E P....B E E P..

"Dipper hiya!"

That's Kaori's voice.

"How ya feeling?"

Like complete and udder-

"Oh well, I brought another book today! Since we finished yesterday's book."

Kaori, thank you.

"This one's called..."

I'm so tired, Kaori, I feel like I can't sleep. You know how I feel?

"You'll be alright, Dipper."

Is this how it's going to be?

"Are you hungry?"

I can't even think about food....it's strange, but I'm not hungry. Is this weird?

She giggled, "figures."

What?

"When do you think you'll be able to speak, or in any case, wake up?"

Wake up....? But Kaori, can't you hear me?!

"The doctors are worried that you won't make it but....b-but I k-know that you w-will."

Stuttering?

"Dipper please wake up."

Tears?

He felt someone wrap their tiny arms around him and he felt tears soak his shirt.

"Please wake up! Please please please please!"

Another voice entered the room, "Kaori, I'm sorry but you have to go."

No no no....

There was a sigh, "o-okay, but you better take good care of him."

The nurse smiled, "I will, now get back to your room, it's already past your bed time."

There was a sound of a door opening, but then it slammed shut.

What time is it? It had to be late, right?

Day 35:

Pacifica walked quickly to the hospital, in hopes the see that Dipper was awake and well, but reality had other expectations for her. She stepped into his room and saw that Kaori was there, but this time she was telling a dramatic tale. "And that's when Marium stopped and looked at the big clock tower. And saw that time had stopped, at no other time, than five twenty seven!"

Pacifica cleared her throat and Kaori looked up, "hiya Pacifica. Come to see Dipper?"

Pacifica nodded slowly, "has Mabel been here?"

Kaori nodded, "every so often, now I'm going to finish my story, then we can talk." She turned back to Dipper and continued her story, "her sister Daphne had just walked out of the theater and into the dark New York streets. Harold was too busy running and singing because of how happy he was, for he was going to be with Marium, but Marium didn't know that she was standing in the middle of the road, and a car came hurtling down the path in the black out."

When Kaori had finished her story, Pacifica had tears in her eyes. It was such a sad tale she wondered how the six year old knew of it. She glanced over at Kaori who was heading her way. "How's he?"

"Well, not awake...." Kaori explained, "I'm sorry Pacifica, but I'm not sure when he'll wake up."

Pacifica nodded, but felt a whole new level of sadness. It was despair.
