Hello there, it's been a while.. again..

I'm getting sick of these stupid unplanned hiatuses, but my life has gone down the drain these past few months. Specifically with my career and career training.

When I started my training to be an Emergency Medical Technician (the people who ride in the back of the ambulance), I figured it would be like in New Neighbors. Oof, you've been shot? Drop an 'F' in chat and put 'em on a stretcher and hand them off to the ER staff where everything goes perfect and everyone is okay.

Oh, what a naive fool I was.

Late January, there was an incident that was.. Hard to deal with. I'll spare you most of the details, but basically a woman shot her twin infant daughters with a shotgun, and then turned the gun on herself. There wasn't anything that I could do for anyone involved, and I struggled with that. I struggled with that a LOT. Therapy, medication changes, depression-induced malnutrition, and other fun stuff. I resigned from my position, and am now back in good ol' community college, where I have since changed my major four times.

Updating a fanfiction wasn't exactly on the top of my to-do list for a while. I was a bit preoccupied dealing with my IRL issues. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the interest in my NN/NL storyline has already died out entirely. I was MIA for.. geez.. At least five months?

I do have some good news, however. I've gotten over the hump of it. I have healed quite a bit, taken a massive breather, and am doing alright now. So alright, that if any of you lovely readers are still around and interested in my continuing of this book, know that I have a new chapter DONE and that WILL be posted tomorrow.

Thank you all for being so patient with me while I got through this. You are all amazing. Really, you are my reason for writing. You lovely individuals have brought me a great deal of strength in this hard time, even if I couldn't bring myself to pay you back or even offer an explanation.

You are incredible.

Ah, but alas, the clock has just struck 5:00AM, and I'm honestly falling asleep as I type, so I'm going to have to clock out here.
