Some time after the attempted suicide; Luke and Phoenix have gotten to know each other very well, going on a couple of dates.

"Wear a pretty dress and be ready at 6. Luke xx"

Phoenix's phone rang with a text. 

"Awwww!" Phoenix crowed when she read the text. It was about noon, so she had a couple hours to kill before needing to spend time to get ready for tonight. Since she had quite a bit of time, she decided to make herself some lunch and watch a movie on Disney Channel.

Lunch, she decided was going to be mac and cheese, one of the few things it was hard to go wrong with. While she was waiting for the water to boil, she perused the channels for a Disney movie.

'Ariel, Jasmine, or Belle?' Phoenix asked herself. She'd seen all the movies a bunch of times, almost to the point of memorization. 

The water began to boil, so while debating her choices, she finished making the pasta, adding in the butter, waiting for it to melt, and then adding the milk and cheese sauce. Once the pasta had been prepared, she put it in a bowl and sat down to watch the movie she eventually chose, Beauty and the Beast. 

****110 minutes later****

Phoenix yawned and looked at the clock as the ending credits scrolled past.

'Crap! It's two o'clock,' she thought to herself, quickly turning the tv off and scrambling to clean up.

She quickly got in the shower, but took her time, making sure the water was just perfect, and then taking her time to shampoo and condition her hair, making sure each was washed out really well. When she finally got out of the shower, she looked at the clock and saw that forty minutes had past. Drying her hair took another twenty minutes, so she was right on schedule. Perusing her closet, she chose a long gray, strapless dress with a lace overlay and a sparkly belt at the waist. She lay that on the bed and went to the bathroom to do her hair. 

****4 hours later****

Phoenix heard a knock on the door just as she was putting the final touches of her makeup on. After one quick look in the mirror, determining that she was perfect, she grabbed her clutch and opened the door. 

"Wow. You look... stunning," Luke's jaw dropped in shock and amazement. 

"Thanks, babe. Where are you taking me?" she asked. 

"That's a surprise. But, I know you'll love it," was his only reply. 

The car ride was a little awkward, but they were both excited for what was to happen that night. Luke was ready for this great surprise and Phoenix was hoping for something memorable. He pulled up to the restaurant and opened the door for her, handing the keys to the valet. 

"Do you like it?" he asked when they'd been seated and drink orders had been taken. 

"Oh, it's gorgeous," Phoenix gushed. 

****After Dinner****

Luke stopped the car near a field with an old playground. Phoenix took off the blindfold she had been given and followed the path flagged by candles. At the end, Luke was down on one knee, waiting for her.

"Phoenix, I love you so much, and I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be with than you. Phoenix, will you be my girlfriend?" he said.

"Luke, I don't know what to say! Of course I'll be your girlfriend!" she gushed. 

Luke stood up and placed the ring on Phoenix's right hand, and then hugged her.

Author's Note

Hey!!!! This is the epilogue! I had writer's block while writing this, but I did what I could. The next book in this series is called Hopeless. That story goes into more detail, and it goes away from this storyline for a while. But, it does come back, and there will be flashbacks from this storyline.
