this is about a week later from the last chapter

After my disaster of a first day I managed to survive my first week at a new school and even managed to make some friends. They're all really cool and welcomed me immediately and this weekend the girls and I were all invited to a sleepover at Anne's

So that leads me to where I am now, standing in front of one of the biggest houses, wait no, mansions I have ever seen.

'Wow, Anne really must be rich if her family can afford a place like this..' I thought to myself.

We chatted a little more and then I knocked on the door. I waited a bit until a teenage girl answered the door, "Hi, I'm guessing you're here for Anne's sleepover?" I nodded.

"Come on in, Anne's upstairs, I'm Mary by the way." she said letting me in. "I'm Cathy" I smiled and then made my way upstairs.

I followed the sounds of talking and giggling and it let me to Anne's room, the door wide open. Inside was Kitty on her phone, Jane sitting on a bean bag, and Anne and Anna on Anne's bed.

Anne grinned when she noticed me, "Hi, Cathy! So you survived your first week?" I smiled back at her, "Yeah, I guess you can say I'm a survivor." I joked, sitting down next to Kitty.

She laughed and Jane spoke up, "How'd you like your first week?" I thought about it for a second and then responded, "I was super nervous at first but then I met you guys and it all went well after that... other than Henry existing."

"Yeah, Henry's the worst. He used to hit me when we dated." She responded. I just stared at her, Jane and Henry? I could never see someone as sweet as her with someone like him. "You and Henry dated?" I asked.

This time Anne spoke up, "Yeah, we all dated that prick. He was an abusive piece of shit, how do you think I got this?" She pulled her chocker down a bit which reveled a scar that traced all the way around her neck.

Kitty looked up from her phone, "A huge tip is to not date him. You'll regret it." She paused to look at her phone and then looked back up. "Anyways, what do you guys wanna do?"

"Um, I'm ok with anything really.." I responded still kinda fazed about how dark and gloomy everything got when Henry was mentioned. I noted to not speak of him often.

Anna got up and came back with a monopoly, "wanna play??" She grinned. Jane got up immediately, "No, no, no, last time you and Anne played together you had an actual wrestling match." She said as her took the board away. "Besides, Lina's not here yet."

Anne groaned, "Then text your stupid girlfriend to get here!" she complained flopping on her bed. Jane glared at her, "She's on her way, just stuck in traffic."

"We could sing karaoke?" Kitty piped up. "Ooo, got idea Kit! I love karaoke!" Anne grinned. "So it's decided, we'll do karaoke until Lina gets her slow ass over here." Anna grinned and got the microphones.

~ Tiny Timeskip ~

After about 30 minutes of us singing our hearts out to The Spice Girls, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and other singers Lina finally arrived and we decided to play truth or dare.

"Cathy, truth or dare?" Kitty smirked at me.

I could feel my face start to heat up, "Um, truth." I managed to get out. Kitty let out a giggle, "Do you like anyone?" My face burned up more than before, "Yeah, o-of course! I like a-all of you guys!!" Kitty frowned at me while Jane gave me a knowing look, "Aw, thanks Cathy. Your turn to ask now!" I nodded at her as thanks and looked at Anna.

"I dare you to eat the spiciest thing in the kitchen." She just grinned at me and got up, "Ok!" We all followed her to the kitchen and watched her down half a bottle of hot sauce. "Wow Anna! How'd you do that?" Kitty cried. Anna just shrugged, "I have a pretty good spice tolerance and Anne is such a baby, she can't stand spicy food." Anne stuck her tongue out at her, "Liar!" Anna smirked and held the bottle out to her, "Wanna bet?" Anne scowled and ran upstairs while we just laughed.

"Is it actually true she doesn't like spicy things?" I asked when we all calmed down. "Yup she has a huge sweet tooth though." Anna replied. 'huh cute' I thought to myself while we went upstairs to continue the game.

I was zoned out for the most part, but I was snapped back to reality when Anne was dared to kiss the prettiest person in the room. "Well, I can't really kiss myself so you mean the second prettiest, right?" Lina rolled her eyes, "Yes Anne, kiss the second prettiest person in the room." Anne grinned and then turned her attention to me, she moved over to me and leaned closer, "You ok with this?" I just nodded, my face felt like it was on fire. She then shrugged and gave me a peck on the lips.

After that we played a couple more rounds until Kitty suggested we watch a movie together. We all split up, Anna and Jane went to go get blankets to built a fort, Anne and Kitty went to go pick the movie, and Lina and I were left to make the popcorn.

We went into the kitchen and while the popcorn was in the microwave Lina looked over at me, "Do you maybe have a crush on Anne?" I looked at her, eyes wide, "N-no w-what makes you think so?!" She raised a brow, "Oh I don't know you stuttering and blushing when she's brought up, when we asked you who you liked you looked up at Anne and then blushed and looked away, and your reaction when you two kissed." I sighed, "Ok maybe I do, but please don't tell her." She gave me a reassuring smile, "Your secret is safe with me."

BEEP BEEP

We were brought back to reality when the microwave went off and we poured the popcorn into bowls and joined the others in the living room. They had built little canopy above the couch that Kitty and Anna were cuddling on, Jane was waiting on a nearby loveseat for Lina to join her, and Anne was sprawled out on the floor.

"What're we watching?" I asked while taking a seat next to Anne. Kitty gave a smirk, "Annie wanted to watch Shrek but we took a vote and we're watching Mean Girls" Anne groaned, "Her and Jane are obsessed with it and Anna only picked it to mess with me." Anna shrugged, "What can I say, it's so fetch!" I giggled at that and promised Anne that we'll watch Shrek next time while the movie started.
