No one's POV: (in Katherine's apartment)
Jack and Katherine are cuddling on the couch in Katherine's living room, both in a resting state of sleep.

Katherine suddenly feels her stomach growling. She looks over at her boyfriend, who is out like a light, even though it's only 7 pm. She smiles at him, gives him a quick kiss on the nose, and slowly moves out of his grasp. She starts slowly walking to the kitchen, careful not to wake up Jack.

Once she makes it to her kitchen, letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding in, she looks around, thinking about what will satisfy her growing hunger.

She eventually settles on making herself some cupcakes. She walks around her kitchen and picks up all of the materials she'll need and sets them down on the counter.

She quietly grabs 2 bowls and a pan, and gets to work.

She's just about to start adding the flour when she feels a pair of gentle arms wrap themselves around her waist. She smiles, putting her hands on top of his.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." She says.

"More like goodnight, Ace." Jack says from behind her, gesturing to the dark sky outside her window.

"Fair."

"So, watcha makin'?" He asks, curious as to what took his girlfriend from his grasp.

"Cupcakes. I was hungry and felt like something sweet."

"Hey, you have me for that." He says, an offended tone present on his voice.

"You know what I meant!" She said, playfully smacking his arm, her other one still on his arms.

She feels him smiling into her collar bone before removing his arms from her waist.

"Okay, I'm getting hungry, so are you helping me or are you just gonna stand there and look at me?" Katherine asks, putting her hand on her hip.

"I'll help." Jack replies.

"Good, now let's get started."

10 ingredients, 1 flour fight, and 2 messy teenagers later, the cupcakes are in the oven. Katherine wipes her hands on her skirt, attempting to remove some of the flour that now resides on the thick material.

"Now's what?" Jack asks, looking down at her, his eyes glistening with love.

"We could cuddle again while we wait." She replies, smiling at him.

"I was hoping yous would say that." Jack replies before grabbing Katherine's hands and leading her back to the couch.

About 20 minutes later, Katherine hears the timer go off. She moves herself out of Jack's arms for the 2nd time that night, and makes her way back to the kitchen, where her finished cupcakes are waiting.

She takes them out of the oven and sets the tray onto the cooling rack. She waits about 20 minutes for them to cool before putting the icing she made earlier on the cupcakes.

She sets one on a plate for herself, and one on a plate for Jack.

She walks back over to the couch, 2 cupcakes in hand. She swipes the cupcake around Jack's face, making sure he can smell it.

"If you want the cupcake, you have to get up."

She hears nothing but a groan from Jack.

"Okay, I guess I'll just have to eat both of them myself." Katherine smiles before seeing Jack sit up, rubbing his eyes.

"Yous lucky I'm hungry." He mumbles before grabbing one of the plates from Katherine's hand. 

She sits on the couch next to him as they eat their cupcakes in silence. After they both finish, Katherine takes their plates to the sink, and returns to see Jack standing up and walking to her.

"So, did you like the cupcakes?" Katherine asks.

"They's were great, Ace." Jack replies with a smile.

"So, now what do you wanna do?" Katherine asks.

"I's really wants to kiss you." Jack says.

"Funny, because I really wants to kiss you." Katherine replies, using improper grammar on purpose, knowing it makes Jack happy.

They smile at each other, true love in their eyes.

Jack leans down and cups Katherine's cheek in his hands, and kisses her. Katherine wraps her arms around his neck, pulling herself deeper into Jack.

They smile through the kiss, true love radiating through their bodies.
