Sếp là người giỏi diễn thuyết vào bậc nhất ở địa phương tôi. Cơ quan nào, cơ sở nào mà được sếp đến diễn thuyết, thì nơi ấy như được tắm trong một dòng suối trí tuệ tuyệt vời, người người đều thấy sáng mắt sáng lòng ra. Theo tục lệ chung, sau mỗi bài diễn thuyết của sếp, người đứng đầu cơ quan hay cơ sở đều lên diễn đàn, cung kính cảm ơn sếp và không quên nhấn mạnh:

- Thay mặt lãnh đạo và nhân dân (hoặc cán bộ công nhân viên), tôi xin tiếp thu những ý kiến quý báu của sếp. Những ý kiến quý báu của sếp làm tất cả mọi người bừng sáng ra!

Đề tài diễn thuyết của Sếp vô cùng phong phú. Đề cập tới bất cứ vấn đề gì thuộc về loài người, sếp đều có những ý kiến quý báu. Nhưng khi nói về những vấn đề liên quan đến đạo đức tác phong lý tưởng thì có nhiều ý kiến quý báu nhất.

Đến với Hội phụ nữ, Sếp nói như sau:

- Thưa chị em. Phụ nữ là một nửa của thế giới. Thiếu phụ nữ thì thế giới không chỉ mất đi một nửa, mà nhân loại còn không thể nào sinh sôi nảy nở được, sẽ dẫn cả loài người đến nguy cơ diệt vong. Chính vì vậy mà chúng ta phải tôn vinh phụ nữ không phải với tính cách một nửa thế giới, mà là cứu tinh của thế giới. Chính vì vậy, chúng ta phải hết sức coi trọng phụ nữ. Đó là đạo lý mà bất cứ một người làm cách mạng nào cũng phải tuân thủ!

Đến với thanh thiếu niên, Sếp phát biểu:

- Thưa các em. Thanh thiếu niên là tương lai của đất nước. Như măng mọc thay tre, thanh niên học sinh sẽ thay thế lớp lớp cha anh xây dựng đất nước. Muốn cho thanh niên học sinh làm trọn sứ mạng vẻ vang ấy, lớp người đi trước phải tăng cường chăm nom, giáo dục các em. Biết chăm nom, giáo dục lớp trẻ thành người có ích cho đất nước, tức là chúng ta đã chăm lo đến thế giới tương lai.

Đến với tầng lớp lãnh đạo, Sếp phát biểu:

- Là người lãnh đạo, chúng ta phải gương mẫu, lo trước thiên hạ, hưởng sau thiên hạ. Chúng ta phải kiên quyết chống tham nhũng, tiêu cực, chống tệ nạn xã hội.

Một hôm, hai đại biểu phụ nữ đến thăm Sếp. Nhà Sếp kín cổng cao tường, phải bấm chuông chờ khá lâu. Đang ngong ngóng vào nhà để được nghe những ý kiến quý báu của sếp, hai cán bộ phụ nữ bỗng giật mình khi nghe tiếng sếp quát oang oang từ căn phòng có cửa sổ mở rộng trên tầng hai:

- Sao bà ngu thế. Tôi đã bảo đừng đưa bà ngoại ra đây, mà bà cứ đưa. Người già ăn ở bẩn thỉu, phiền phức quá...

Xen trong tiếng quát của xếp là tiếng đàn bà khóc tấm tức.

Hai cán bộ phụ nữ lặng cả người. Một người bảo:

- Sếp vẫn dạy phải tôn trọng phụ nữ. Những ý kiến quý báu của sếp mình còn nhớ. Sao sếp không thực hành nhỉ.

Chị kia vẻ thành thạo:

- Thì những ý kiến quý báu của sếp đã đem phân phát hết cho chị em chúng mình, còn đâu đến lượt mẹ sếp, vợ sếp...

Hai chị em không đợi mở cửa, lẳng lặng rút lui. Họ không dám tranh thủ xin những ý kiến quý báu của sếp nữa.

Đến một hôm, đọc báo, mọi người giật mình thấy ảnh con trai sếp in ở trang ba, kèm theo một bài dài nói về thành tích bất hảo của cậu ta. Sành điệu vô cùng, cậu ta mừng sinh nhật mình bằng cách cậy két của bố mẹ lấy đô la mua 19 con a còng tặng bạn bè. Bây giờ, cậu ta lại mắc nghiện, bị bắt quả tang đang tiêm chích và nhảy nhót trong một động lắc lớn ở trung tâm thành phố.

Mọi người lại bàn tán:

- Sếp vẫn dạy phải chăm lo thế hệ mai sau. Những ý kiến quý báu của sếp ta còn nhớ đinh ninh. Vậy mà con sếp vô phúc quá.

Một anh cướp lời:

- Chớ, chớ nói rằng con sếp vô phúc. Ấy là vì sếp hy sinh cho nhân dân đấy, ngay cả những ý kiến quý báu cũng đem dâng hiến hết cho đời, đến nỗi quên cả dành cho vợ con. Tấm lòng vì dân của sếp thật đáng trân trọng.

Mấy anh hay vặn vẹo lại đặt vấn đề:

- Này, nhưng còn bản thân sếp thì sao nhỉ. Sếp dạy chúng mình phải chịu khó tu dưỡng, lo trước thiên hạ, hưởng sau thiên hạ, chống tham nhũng, tiêu cực. Những ý kiến quý báu ấy, sếp hiến dâng hết cho bọn mình rồi, liệu sếp có còn chút nào dành cho bản thân không?

Mọi người đều trầm hẳn xuống, vừa thương, vừa lo cho sếp, con người có tài diễn thuyết ấy, con người luôn luôn vì nhân dân quên mình ấy, không rõ có còn để lại cho mình chút ý kiến quý báu nào không.
