You woke up in an empty king sized bed you sadly sat up looking around for your boyfriend of 4 years, Beau Bennett, but he had left for his morning practice. You just couldn't believe that he had to work on today of all days. Valentine's Day.

You didn't want to spend Valentine's Day alone or sitting in the crowd at the Consol Energy Center, even though you loved cheering on the Penguins. All you wanted was a day just for Beau and you to spend time together.

As you walked downstairs you heard the door open and then close.

"Babe? I'm home" Beau said as he set his things down.

"Hey baby" you said as you walked up to him and gave him a kiss.

"Guess what I got you" he said with his hands behind his back

"What did you get me?" you asked not even trying to guess

"A ticket to tonight's game" he said

"Oh, yay, thank you" you said with a little disappointment.

You thought he had brought you something for Valentine's Day but no just a ticket to the game tonight. You gave him a little hug then sat down on the couch and watched TV. While you did that Beau walked up stairs to take a nap.

Something felt off, Beau wasn't acting like Beau. He loved Valentine's Day, he loved to spoil you, he loved being with you. But he didn't do any of that, it was like he had forgotten about today.

***Game Time***

You pulled your Bennett jersey over your head as you finished getting ready for the game. You weren't really in the mood to go but you did anyways. You then headed downstairs and found Beau on the couch. He turned around smiling at you.

"You ready?"

"Uhh..yeah"

You two got in the car then drove to the arena. The drive was silent but no one minded. You had arrived at the arena and walked in together. You walked Beau to the dressing room then gave him a quick kiss before leaving.

"Oh and Beau" you said as he turned around to face you.

"Yeah?"

"Could you score for me" you asked him

Since it was the only gift he could really give you at this point, since the day was almost over.

He smiled and said "sure thing babe I'll try, just for you"

You then walked to the elevator and went to the girlfriends and wives box. You sat down with the other girls and waited for the game to start.

After the first and second period the score was 2-1 for the Avs. Third period was about to start in a minute or so. You just hoped the boys would win and that Beau would score. The boys ended up winning 4-2 and Beau ended up scoring two amazing goals. You weren't as upset as when you first got here. You felt a little more happy.

You went down to the locker room to congratulate the boys on the win but when you got there it was dead silent. You where a little confused. You then saw Crosby so you walked up to him to ask where everyone was.

"Hey Sid"

"Oh Hey Y/N" he said as he turned around

"Umm, Do you know where everyone is?" you asked

"Uhh no I don't sorry but i know that Beau wants to meet you out by the rink" he said

"Oh okay thanks" you said as you walked to the rink

You were a little confused as to why Beau wanted to meet you by the rink but whatever. You had walked down the hall to the bench and saw Beau sitting on it. You sat down beside him but not for long.

"Oh good you're here, now I can show you your surprise" he said getting up

"Surprise?" you questioned

Beau didn't say anything he just picked you up bridle style, skated out to center ice and placed you down. You stood there in confusion, you had no clue what was going on. It was all dark so you could barely see anything. All of a sudden a light came on which showed Beau standing a little bit in front of you. Beau gave you a little smile then went down on one knee. Your hands covered your mouth and almost instantly happy tears formed in your eyes.

"Y/N, you probably thought I forgot all about today but I didn't. I was just really nervous for this. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. You make everything better. When I first saw you I knew there was something special about you and I just had to have it. Ever since we started dating I knew you were the one. My love only grows stronger for you every single day and I just want to make that love forever. So Y/N will you marry me?" Beau said in a nervous tone

You stood there in shocked about what he just asked. Then you started nodding your head and started saying yes.

"Yes, yes, a thousands times yes" you cried

Beau stood up slipping the ring onto your finger. Then kissed you so passionately. All of a sudden the lights came on the whole team was there on the ice and fans started whistling and cheering in the stands.

Just as you kissed Beau again roses starred flying from the crowd of people as if it where a hat trick.

You looked up at Beau and he placed his forehead to yours. He picked you up so your legs were wrapped around him, he kissed you as he spun around. He then placed you down still looking into your eyes.

"This is the best Valentine's Day ever, thank you" you said

"Anything for my girl" Beau just smiled and kissed you once again
