Nico leaned over and rubbed Leo's shoulders.

Leo leaned back against Nico's chest. She was standing in front of the kitchen counter, stirring some pasta.

"You do too much for us," Nico commented. "Let me finish cooking. Go rest."

"You just got back from work..." Leo protested.

"Leora," Nico said, saying her full name quietly. "Go watch some television with Noa."

Noa, their daughter, was sitting in the living room, watching Cartoon Network. She was laughing at the TV, completely absorbed into the content.

Leo sighed, "Okay. Thank you, my love."

Nico kissed her cheek, "I love you."

After a while, the food was ready. Nico brought the plates to living room coffee table tonight since everyone was enjoying the show.

Nico sat down next to Leo, who was sitting down on the couch. With Noa on the floor in front of her, Nico smiled, wrapping his arms around her.

"You know, I love you so much today."

"Today?" Leo questioned, lifting an eyebrow.

"Yeah. Each day, somehow my heart just slips closer into your hands."

Leo smirked, "Trust me, it's in my hands already."

Nico leaned down, resting his chin on her shoulder and tightening his arm around her, "Then it feels closer to your heart, darling."

Leo blushed darkly, poking Nico's leg. He chuckled, eyes flickering down to Noa.

He bumped their daughter's shoulder, "Hey, you. How was school?"

She leaned back, smiling with two missing front teeth. "It was amazing! I made a new friend. His name is Alex..."

She started going on and on about her new friend at school, talking with her hands and shoving pasta in her mouth at the same time. Soon, the family had forgotten about the television, sitting together and laughing. With Nico's arm around Leo (and hearts close together), and smiles exchanged between them and their daughter, nothing else mattered.
