Mack dreams that he's flying, but it turns into a nightmare about Missy's kidnapping. He awakes frustrated that God, who is sleeping in this same cabin, did not take away his nightmares.

They eat breakfast and there's a huge conversation about how there is no hierarchy in the trinity. Basically, Wm. Paul Young wanted to cover a ton of doctrinal points and did so through endlessly long conversations among his characters. Like seriously. There is So. Much. Dialogue.

They discuss how hierarchy in human relationships is a man-made idea and was not God's intention. A quick Google search of "Did God create hierarchy?" gives you about a dozen different theories, and I, as this is my area of study, got lost in this rabbit trail for half an hour.

Then there's a long conversation about why God allows evil, but it reaches no conclusive end, because Mack is still bitter and hesitant to believe that God is good.
