"she will take this position when she wakes till then I'll do it" sedgestar meows and hurricanewind looks at his mate the claw marks on her head from the fox were clearly visible. sedgestar pads into the den looking down at the unconscious body of nightlydeath. Hurricanewind looked at the leader then back at his mate. "I'm going to go start a hunting patrol" hurricanewind ran out of the den. "sweetheart we'll have to tell her" sedgestar meows softly. "I already told her she was destined to be leader when she was trying to die" sweetheart meows looking at the leader. "deltastar told me I was going to have a great next leader she holds the power of a lion in her she's the strongest when the lion is needed" sedgestar bowed her head to nightlydeath. "I should have raised my daughter myself not have given her away now I should have raised my daughter but now she hates me I let my leadership get in the way of caring for her" a tear slipped down sedgestar's face and onto nightlydeath. "while you were unconscious owlflight died and on his deathbed he requested that you take his place" sweetheart gently touched her nose to nightlydeath's. Nightlydeath looked at the elderly medicine cat and nuzzles her face into her neck. "I was going to die wasn't I" she muttered into sweetheart's fur. "yes nightlydeath but me and silverstripe did all we could and we saved you" sweetheart meows softly. "nightlydeath can I tell you something" sweetheart meows. "yes sweetheart what's wrong" nightlydeath looked at the medicine cat. "Nightlydeath I'm getting older than you think I'll be joining spiritclan soon I'll be joining my brother deltastar and my parents" sweetheart meows. It has been about a moon since nightlydeath became deputy. "nightlydeath" silverstripe yowls and nightlydeath's head snapped up from the bird she was eating and raced to the medicine den. "she wants to talk to you before she joins spiritclan" silverstripe meows and leaves the den. "nightlydeath" sweetheart meows weakly. "I'm right here sweetheart" nightlydeath laid her head beside. "I wish I had a daughter like you nightlydeath but it was never to be" sweetheart meows. "I don't fear death nightlydeath im not scared to die I knew It would happen one day but nightlydeath I couldn't be more proud of you I know sedgestar messed up but you still become beautiful and amazing warrior even without your mother" sweetheart whispered her chest fluttered.
