My palms were sweating as I rubbed them on my jeans to attempt to dry them. Clearly my nerves are shot. I mean wouldn't yours be if you were sitting across from fictional characters you killed off in short stories. I'm not quite sure why Sam is here unless he got a stake to the heart from Countess Marie. She cared way to damn much about all the corpses on his front lawn. A real character that one. Then there is Beau and one I didn't name... But we will call him Avery because I used first person perspective for him. I think his was the most brutal.

"Did you really have to make her hate me so much?" Sam asked pouting at me while poking at the stake in his chest. Clearly, he hasn't crossed over yet. Thinking to myself I would say it was necessary for the humor in her proposal... But I won't tell him that.

"Maybe you should have been tidier." I snickered. He shot me a death glare, I guess its good he's fictional or I might be dead. Beau looked on the verge of tears he clearly had some pent-up remorse, or you know what... I don't know.

"Come on Corkey, I'm hurt." Beau complained pointing at Avery.

"What?"

"You had the Gypsy warn him and then still made Toby challenge him to go to his death. Truly heartless."

Ah... Okay I get it.

"Look it's the month of Halloween. It's supposed to be scary and some may die. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for those who read this month." I shrugged looking at their shocked ghostly expressions.

"Well, I'll just haunt you then..." mumbled Avery. I laughed at him, Sam patted him on the back and tried to reassure him.

"Hey at least you didn't become a corpse on my front graveyard."

Avery looked at him disgusted then over at Beau who was looking down at the knife protruding from his chest.

"Honestly... Corkey... You aren't very creative..." Beau started looking at the other two ghosts at the table. Which had no food whatsoever on it. Dammit... I guess I should of described that.

"I mean you could of decapitated Sam here... Or perhaps had a chandelier fall on Avery..." Avery gasped at Beau's comment clutching his heart, his hand going right through the glass sticking from it.

"You're right... I guess I could have done that." This made Avery shriek and then vanish from the table.

"Aw... He left before dessert." Whined Sam. Beau shook his head at Sam and then again at me.

"Really?" Beau asked.

"What? Clearly he didn't like the topic." I smiled at him making him scowl. A butler walked in shortly after the conversation went stale. Laying out platters of food that smelled so delicious. Sam dug in causing a mess per the norm. Which explains Countess Marie's actions. Beau touched nothing he was too busy being salty... and myself. Well, I'm at my limit.
