Today is December 12th, the first day of Hanukkah 2017!

Now, please don't be offended if there's anything inaccurate with what we're about to say - scripture and religion in general can have many varied interpretations, and in order to take a shot at the most widely accepted version, we're going to try and give you a vague summary of what we've found in our research to be the origin of Hanukkah.

Hanukkah, or Chanukah, is an eight-day long Jewish festival. It commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple, located in Jerusalem, during the time of the Maccabean Revolt against the oppressive Seleucid Empire.

What're we going to do for Hanukkah?

Well, from what we've gleaned, Hanukkah is the celebration of a successful rebellion. So, we wondered, what would happen if there was a rebellion in our very own home court? What if there was a coup right here?
