This is more of a theory.

The mask in the SDCC Season 8 Sneak Peak can and will actually bring Garmadon back to life. Some things suggest this, like the 'ninja' concept, that Garmadon was a sensei, and that it's called 'Sons of Garmadon'. But that's just me.
