Cole's POV

I woke up to to sun shining unevenly on my face. Since when is the sun in my bedroom? I slowly opened my eyes and saw that someone had stolen my bedroom roof, as well as the walls, floor and my bed.

"Hu? Okay, who stole my roof?" I said out loud.

"Cole, were not in your room, were camping, remember? Elemental powers? Caves of truth? Over lord?" Lloyd said, he was sitting by a fire surrounded by big stones.

"Oh yeah, wait, when did you get the fire wood?"

"I got it this morning" Nya said, she too was sitting by the fire. In fact, everyone was, except for Kai.

"Where's Kai?"

Everyone pointed to a red sleeping bag. It moved up and down indicating that a breathing body was in it.

"Oh, I'm guessing he's not a morning person?"

"You got that right" Nya groaned.

The smell of bacon filled my nostrils. It smelled good.

"Okay guys, bacon is ready!" Zane said, serving it on plastic plates and handing them out.

"This smells really good!" Jay said happily and started to shove it in his mouth.

"Well that's a relief, I always assumed my cooking was amateur" Zane said.

"No, this is amazing!" Lloyd said after taking a bite of the food.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

We all chatted around the fire for an hour before Jay stood up and cleared his throat.

"Guys, I would like to inform you about some recent events" he said, I stared blankly at him, as did everyone else. I was pretty sure he was just making a big deal out of nothing, again.

"Me and Nya will be attending the dance together!" He shouted happily. Nya facepalmed and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Annnnnd you have to inform us about this, why?" Lloyd said.

"I dunno, I thought you guys would be happy" he said sitting down again.

"No we are, its just, why did you make a big deal out of it?" Trini asked.

"This is Jay we're talking about, he makes a big deal out of anything" Seliel rolled her eyes at him.

"Well, if this is how the morning is going then I have an announcement to make as well." I said standing up. I took Seliel hand and pulled her up too "Me and Seliel we also be attending the dance together"

"Yeah, like we didn't see that one coming" Jay laughed.

I rolled my eyes and sat back down, still holding Seliel hand.

"Me and Trini will also be attending the dance together" Lloyd said, but he remained seated.

"Okay, did not see that one coming" Jay said, his mouth agape.

"I thought you hated girls and dances?" I said surprised. I saw Trini give him a questionable look, but he just shrugged.

"Puberty does stuff to you" he said.

"Lloyd you said this two days ago, puberty takes a lot longer than that, and anyway, your 17 puberty hit you at the age of 12! Don't you remember when your voice cracked like 200 times a day?"

"Hah, that was hilarious!" Jay whooped with laughter.

"Moving on! What about um.... Zane and Pixal?" Lloyd said, desperate to change the situation.

"Yes, Zane and I will be attending together" Pixal said.

"So everyone here is going with someone else who is here?" Lloyd asked.

"Not everyone" Trini said leaning over so her shoulder was touching Skylors.

"Kai hasn't asked you yet?" I said surprised.

"Why would Kai ask me?" She asked.

"Because he has, like, a massive crush on you?" Seliel said, dumbfounded.

"He does?" She asked, her mouth open in surprise.

"How did you not know that?" Pixal asked, "Did you not see the stuttering? Or the way he acts nervous around you? Or did you ever catch him staring at you?"

Skylor blinked, clearly oblivious to this fact.

There was a really loud moan from the red sleeping bag. Everyone turned around a saw a very sleepy looking Kai sit up. His hair was more spiky than normal and his eyes had dark circles under them.

"Hey guys, what you talking about?" He said sleepily.

"Oh you know, how you have a massive cr- hmhmhm mhmhh hmhmh"

"Nothing!" Nya cut Jay off by putting her hand over Jays mouth.

"Okaaaaaaay" He said sceptically.

"Do you want some bacon?" Zane asked.

"Yeah, I'm starving" He said getting up from his sleeping bag.

"Well better hurry, we have to go soon" I said glancing at my watch.

"I'm a quick eater" He said, still in a sleepy time.

~~Half an hour later~~

We finally set off for our second clue after packing up and killing the fire.

My feet ached when we finally arrived at The Old Monastery. It was actually really nice looking place. The only downside was the hundreds of steps we had to walk up to get to the top.

"Okay, here's the plan, we all split up and try to find the next clue" Lloyd ordered "It could be anything, a carving, a scroll, anything. But hurry, we only have about an hour before the sun sets"

I walked off around the edge of the monetary, admiring the art on the walls and the detail to the stone figures.

It had been about 45 minutes and I was starting to give up on this place. Maybe Kai and Nya were wrong.

"Hey guys! Come check this out!" I heard Nya shout.

I ran round to the front gate and stood next to Nya.

"What is it? Did you find it?" Trini panted.

"I think so" She said "Do you see that TV aerial on the top of the roof?" I looked up and saw what looked to be a TV aerial, but it also looked like writing. "Do you see it? It looks like it is bent to look like certain words"

"Oh yeah! But, how do get up there to read it? It's so small!" Seliel sighed.

"Maybe we don't have to!" Jay shouted "Look!"

I followed where he was pointing, the sun had created a shadow of the aerial on the floor.

"Good thing we got here this late in the day, or we wouldn't have seen it" Kai said.

He was right, the only reason we could see it was because the sun was at the precise position to cast the shadow.

"What does it say?"

"It says: the one that bites is your doom, the next clue is in their tomb?" Lloyd read out.

"Well that's obvious" Jay said.

"It is? Because I have no clue" I said

"Yeah, me too, what do you mean it's obvious?" Nya asked Jay.

"Really? You guys don't know?" Jay replied confused. "It's really obvious. Come on, what bites and lives in a tomb?"

"Um..... Mosquitos?"

"Tigers?"

"Bears?"

"Really? ITS SNAKES! SNAKES!! Venomarri to be precise" Jay shouted.

"Oh yeah! But those tombs are now preserved and have CCTV all over them" Zane said.

"Well, I can hack into the system and change the footage?" Trini offered.

"Looks like we have a plan" I said

"Yep! But it's getting dark, I think we should camp here tonight, unless any of you want to walk down those steps in the dark?" Pixal stated.

"I'm up for sleeping here tonight"

"Yeah me too"

"Okay, but this time Cole and Jay will go get fire wood" Lloyd said. Everyone laughed at his joke except for Skylor and Kai, they just looked embarrassed.

Okay, next chapter is here, please tell me what you think because I feel like I'm writing them too quickly and rushing them. But I don't know because my answer would be either really biased or modest.
