You shrug your fear off and charge out of the closet door fiercely. Strangely, you look around to see no physical body anywhere. You are alone in this bedroom, and you assume that the voice could be somewhere else in the house. 

"Whether this... being is in the house, or not, I have to find a way out," you conclude, despite being frightened for your life. Opening the bedroom door cautiously, you are faced with a straight hallway with stairs heading down. You think the stairs are leading to your way out of the house, but these doors on this floor could possibly contain a weapon you can use to defend yourself. What should you do?
