Fade's last name was Qiu--Noaah was sure of it now.

After a night of wondering what Altaïr meant, Noaah had been pulled aside by Fade, who wanted to talk to him about something.

Fade had been concerned about Whisper--he had been increasingly volunteering himself to entertain the Devines.

"He's gonna get himself hurt," Fade said. "I know he will. Why can't he just sit back and hope the Devines pay him no attention? Why can't he?"

"I don't know," Noaah responded, truthfully. "He wants the attention. Matter of fact, yesterday, Whisper kept trying to suggest he help me fight George."

"Gods, no," Fade mumbled, upset. "He worries me when he does that. He really does."

"Fade," Noaah began to say. "Can I ask you something?"

Fade nodded.

"Why do you care about Whisper so much?" Noaah started. "I-is he your son?"

Fade nodded yet again. "Yes. Yes he is."

Noaah raised an white eyebrow. "And his other parent...?"

Fade sighed. "I don't feel like speaking of that right now."

Noaah had bowed his head a little. "I understand."

When Whisper passed by Noaah later, Noaah had thought to himself about the similarities that Whisper and Fade shared.

I don't know why I never saw it before, Noaah thought to himself.

"Noaah! Hey!" Azeline called out as she approached; she bounced as she did.

"Azeline," Noaah began, in a monotone voice.

"I heard what you did yesterday... In the arena," Azeline started to say to him. "You ripped out that guy's heart."

Noaah scoffed. "What? Are you gonna tell me it was bad for me to do that too?"

Azeline shook her head. "No. Of course not." She paused. "I actually think that's kinda cool. I wish I could've gotten to see it."

"What are we discussing?" Jayaatu asked approaching the other two.

"Noaah ripping the werewolf's heart out yesterday," Azeline told Jayaatu, ever so casually.

"Oh yeah!" Jayaatu started. "I heard about that. That was pretty bad-ass!"

"That's what I said," Azeline added.

"Hmmm," Jayaatu began. "I don't think I've ever heard a story of an elf, wolf, or even a vampire being able to do that."

"I've heard stories of sirens doing it," Vyykium's accented voice sounded behind the three.

Noaah turned around to face Vyykium with Azeline and Jayaatu following in suit. "What?"

Vyykium's hair was lilac in color. He claimed it to be natural. His shaggy bangs brushed against his forehead. His eyes were a very bright shade of pink that seemed to always burn a hole into the soul of whoever he was speaking to at the moment.  He had a nasty scar across the right side of his lip.

Unlike Noaah, Vyykium was toned--he was probably the most muscled one there next to Evangelos... And George--but alas, George was dead.

Noaah had heard rumors that Vyykium's surname was Ulyavir. He had also heard rumors that before Vyykium ended up in Terra del Diavolo, he had killed his own mother, Queen Ivapa Ulyavir of Kaluvkar.

Noaah shuddered a little.

There was something so intimating yet alluring about Vyykium.

Noaah hadn't even noticed he held his breath after what he said to Vyykium. Noaah exhaled.

"Sirens... Like me," Vyykium started to say. "They've been known to be able to yank the hearts out of their victims... Then, they promptly drain all the blood from their victim's heart."

Sirens were considered taboo.

Sirens were a ruthless, blood-thristy race; or at least that's what Noaah had been taught.

He had been taught that they were evil--they seduced and killed many.

Noaah was also aware that the sirens had been constantly mass slaughtered during the many 'Siren Purges' in history. Noaah wasn't sure how one could kill a siren--though, he found himself a little bit curious of that question.

"I-I'm not a siren," Noaah swallowed, directing his comment to Vyykium.

Vyykium, who was only a year older than Noaah, chuckled a little. "If you insist." With that, Vyykium turned away, heading off to the arena--and Noaah watched him as he went.
