Welcome back to my Mystery Book. Today, we are looking at the legendary Loch Ness Monster and it's most famous photo! Obviously one of my favourite Mysteries of all time as well as many other people! Credit to the YouTuber Coventry Paranormal for the information. Enjoy!

On This Day, 88 Years Ago, On The Morning Of April 19th 1934, A 35 Year Old Surgeon And Flight Lieutenant Named Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson Took The First And Most Famous Picture Of A Famous Legendary Creature From Scotland, The Loch Ness Monster!!!

OR SO WE THOUGHT!!!

The REAL Truth Behind This Famous Photograph Goes As Deep As The Loch Ness Itself And This Is The Story Of What TRULY Happened On That Calm, Gloomy Morning, 88 Years Ago!!!

During The Year Of 1933, The Legendary Loch Ness Monster, A Very Strange Cryptid That Was Said To Be Living In The Loch Ness Lake In Scotland, Was BLOWING UP MORE THAN EVER As There Were TONS Of Reports And Sightings Of The Monster That Many People Called "Nessie"!!! And Because Of How Insane The Legend Was Becoming, The British Government Hired A Famous Cryptid Lover Named Marmaduke Wetherell To Search For The Monster Himself!!!

And Soon Enough, Marmaduke Wetherell DID INDEED Find What He Called Evidence That The Loch Ness Monster Truly Existed!!! He Did Not Find The Monster, But He Did Find Really Strange Footprints By The Loch, Took Pictures Of Them And Reported It To The News!!!

But It Was Soon Found Out That The Footprints Were Actually FAKE!!! They Were Made From A Hippo Foot That Marmaduke Wetherell Bought At A Store, And He Was Publicly Humiliated And Made Fun Of Due To His Hilarious Exposure!!!

Marmaduke Wetherell, Really Embarrassed And Upset About His Report Being Exposed, Faded From Public Limelight...

And This Is Where Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson Comes In!!!

On This Day, 88 Years Ago, On The Morning Of April 19th 1934, The 35 Year Old Surgeon, And Flight Lieutenant During World War I And World War II Was Driving By The Loch Until He Saw A Very Strange Looking Animal In The Water And He Quickly Pulled Over And Took A Photograph Of The Creature And Gave It Along With His Story To The News 2 Days Later On April 21st. However, He Refused To Put His Name In The Publishing And That's How It Became Known As "The Surgeon's Photograph". It Became INSANELY Popular And Many People Believed That It Was UNDENIABLE PROOF That The Loch Ness Monster Existed!!! Especially Because It Was Taken By A Very Well Respected And Smart Man In The Area Who Would Highly Unlikely Come Up With A Hoax!!! But It Turns Out, It Actually Was!!!

For The Next 60 Years The Photographs Taken By Wilson Were Studied Heavily And Some People Believed That The Ripples In The Water Surrounding The Object Suggested That The Strange Creature Was Quite Small And Was More Likely An Otter, A Bird, A Swimmer, Or Even An Elephant From A Nearby Circus!!! But No One Could Really Find The TRUE Answer Until 1994!!!

In 1994, On His Deathbed, 90 Year Old Christian Spurling, The Stepson Of Marmaduke Wetherell Revealed The Entire Story Of The Photograph!!!

Spurling Said That After The Hippo Foot Incident, His Step Father Was Very Humiliated And Angry That His Report Was Found Out To Be False And He Decided To Take His Revenge!!!

"If They Want A Monster, WE'LL GIVE THEM A MONSTER!!!" He Said!!!

On The Morning Of April 19th 1934, He, Along With His Step Son, Christian Spurling, His Son, Ian Wetherell And Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson Bought A Toy Submarine From A Store, Modeled A Long Neck And Small Head Out Of Clay On To It, And Put It In The Loch, And Ian Wetherell Took The Pictures And He Gave Them To Colonel  Robert Kenneth Wilson To Develop!!! After He Did This, He Reported His Photo To The News Along With His Fabricated Story!!!

Spurling Said The Reason Why They Made The Whole Story Around Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson Was Because He Loved Practical Jokes, And He Was A Very Smart And Well Respected Man Who Many People Would Believe!!!

However, Even After His Confession Before He Died, Some People Actually Still Believe That Spurling Lied And The Picture Was Taken By Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson And It Indeed Shows A Plesiosaurs, A Long Necked Dinosaur Marine Reptile That Went Extinct Millions Of Years Ago, Which Is The Animal That Is Believed To Be Nessie!!!

I Personally Believe That Christian Spurling Was Telling The Truth Because Unfortunately, I Don't Believe In Any Cryptids, Ghosts, Or Anything Supernatural Or Unnatural That Is Rarely Seen, Especially When We Have All The Technology And Science And Smartness To Work With. And If Christian Spurling Lied, Why Would He Even Lie In The First Place? Especially On His Deathbed? Regardless, The Surgeon's Photograph Story Along With The Loch Ness Monster In General Is EASILY One Of My FAVOURITE Mysteries Of All Time And It Will Live On In EVERYONE'S Fascination Forever And Ever!!!

The End!!!
