   Chat's  POV:

I pushed open the door to her hospital room.

I did not care if it was considered kosher or not.

    I had to see her.

I needed to make sure she was okay.

    "Hi, Marinette," I said.

     I smiled at her.

I saw her perk up at my sight.

"Where are my folks?" I  heard her ask.

       "I am sorry."

I saw tears as they filled her eyes.

"They are alive, but they left town.  Your father wanted to believe you were ok, but your mother insisted you were dead."  I explained.

I saw her face fall at the news.

        I hugged her.

I felt bad that I had to tell her such bad news.

I knew she never deserved this.

"Princess, I am so sorry," I started to say.

I felt her push me away.

I saw her look at me in dismay.

Then, I heard her say something, I never thought I would hear not in a million years and certainly not from her.

"Chat, stop. It hurts. My ribs feel uncomfortable.  It is not your fault, but I think the beam crushed me and I..."  I heard her gasp for air as she spoke.

I watched in horror as she struggled to breathe.

The nurse turned around and went over to her.

I  stood back in sheer worry.

I paid attention as the nurse placed the ventalor back on Marinette's face.

It was then, I knew it was way worse than I imagined.

        My princess was dying.
