"Hey, Yoongs, what did Jimin give us the hair dye and bleach for?" Jungkook asked Yoongi as he saw him enter the lounge room. The blonde was sitting on the couch – the broken TV long forgotten as he lolled back into the torn seat with the hair dye Jimin had given them in one hand and a newspaper he had found in the other.

Yoongi heaved a sigh, trudging over to Jungkook and sitting on the couch. "To dye our hair, what else?" He responded coarsely, leaning back into the couch only to have to pull out a pencil that was jammed into the fabric behind him.

Jungkook's eyes lit up and he immediately pulled one box of hair dye to himself, dropping the other on the floor in the process. "I call dibs on the brown one!" He announced heartily. Yoongi, who was quite tired with the whole situation and not in the mood for a childish fight over hair dye, let him win. He picked up the fallen box of hair dye, pulling it up to his face to inspect it. Reading the name of the color on the package was probably a bad idea. "Pink?" He groaned, slopping back into the chair miserably, "Why did he have to choose pink?"

Jungkook gave him a confused frown. "What's wrong with pink?"

Yoongi's face contorted into a grimace as he looked towards his cousin. "What's wrong with pink, he says?" He mimicked, throwing the box back onto the floor. "Pink's a fucking girl color! That's what's wrong with it!" He crossed his arms as he fell back into the couch, shoving them underneath each other, muttering about.

It was then that he noticed the newspaper in his cousin's arm. Lazily, he reached over to snatch it from the boy, earning him a protest in response. Yoongi shot him a sour look before yanking the pages open. It was there that his eye caught the small, incy, tiny words stamped in blank ink.

Workers wanted

Small day-care in need of a new supervisor and assistant teacher.

Work from Monday – Friday (7am – 5pm)

Pay: $13 per hour

Yoongi nudged Jungkook roughly on the shoulder, causing him to wince as the raven pointed eagerly at the job advertisement on the page. Jungkook leaned over his shoulder to look. "A Day care centre? But you hate kids." Jungkook questioned, his eyebrows furrowing.

Yoongi smiled broadly, and as he never smiled, the smile made him look like some evil villain with a plan. "That's exactly it, Jungkook. Where do you think dad would never think I'd work?" He closed the pages on the newspaper, rolling it back into its original shape.

"As a cleaner for public toilets?" Jungkook piped up, causing Yoongi's smirk to suddenly drop into a frown. "No, Jungkook, try again." He said.

"At MacDonalds?"

"No, Jungkook, we were literally just talking about it."

"Well, then," Jungkook shrugged, "I don't know what you're talking about." He scratched the back of his head. "I have a short attention span."

Yoongi laughed sardonically, fisting the newspaper in his hands and suddenly smacking it against Jungkook's head repeatedly. "Think about it Jungkook, what did I just read in here?" Jungkook winced in pain at the contact of the newspaper at his head. "Ouch! Ouch! You can stop, I remember now!" He shrieked, and Yoongi stopped, satisfied.

Jungkook scooted away from him on the couch, rubbing his head as he glared at the raven. "Does it say where we need to go to apply?" He asked Yoongi as he opened the newspaper up and flipped back to the page they were on. Yoongi traced all the job advertisements with his finger, finally landing on the one they were interested in. "It says it here." He told the boy.

Instead of looking where Yoongi was looking, Jungkook was busy pointing at another ad on the page which Yoongi was not at all interested in. "Ooh, pretty girls in your area!" Jungkook gibbered, "You could get one of these, Yoongi!" He encouraged, as he continued reading, "Big bust, lips, and ass. Ready to fulfil you're deepest fantasy." He looked over at a blank faced Yoongi with sparkling eyes. "My deepest fantasy is being able to win all my Mario kart races. Do you think she could help me with that? That would be so cool."

Instead of answering, Yoongi simply got up, dropping the newspaper on Jungkook's head, which caused the boy to let out an, "Ouch!" in pain. The raven ignored him and walked off to the bedroom, tired of the younger's stupidity.

"So, let me get this straight. You and your brother want to work at this day-care?" The owner of the day-care asked Yoongi and Jungkook, looking highly perplexed. In front of her, sitting at her table, were two fully grown and extremely attractive men, one with an odd choice of pink hair, and the other a brunette. These men could literally get a job anywhere they wanted with their clear skin and well-structured faces - yet, here they were, at her day-care, asking for a job which required taking care of messy little toddlers.

She watched as the older looking one squirmed in his seat, taking a look around the room at the untidy paintings before giving her an unsure smile. "Yep!" It sounded more like a cry for help disguised in a happy answer, but the owner shook it off. Raising her eyebrows briefly, she pulled out a small sheet of paper and a pen, looking at Yoongi, specifically. "Firstly," she began, "What's with the obnoxious hair color?"

Yoongi frowned, lost at her question. How was it any of her business what his hair color was? Trying not to get too annoyed by the question, he answered with a shrug. "It's just a color I like."

"Reasonable enough." She hummed, crossing her legs and scribbling something down on the paper.

"Do you have any experience in childcare?" She asked again, to both of the men, pushing her small fallen glasses up her nose bridge.

"I take care of my cousin's kids sometimes!" Jungkook piped up eagerly. The woman quickly wrote it down and turned to Yoongi. "And what about you?"

Yoongi hesitated for a minute, letting out small, "uhhs," and "Umms," as he tried to remember the last time he had even been around a child...Which was... probably never. Luckily, he didn't have to think too deep as Jungkook interjected. "He also take's care of our cousins kids! He does everything! Changes nappies, feeds them, and bathes them, the whole lot!" he gushed, surprising both the owner of the day-care and Yoongi himself.

The owner looked impressed as she turned to Yoongi, still slightly confused by his appearance and desire to work there but pleased about what he could do. Whipping her pen around to point it at him, she finally resolved to give him a chance to prove himself. "Alright, get here at 6:30am before opening and we'll give you two a test run." She offered, and both men sighed in relief.

"However," She began, causing both the men to tense up again, "If you fail at taking care of these children, or do anything stupid, you'll be in big trouble." She gave them both a scathing look as they shrunk back in their seats, feeling like children themselves. "Just keep in mind; I'm only hiring you because there was no one else interested in the job." She added.

I don't think I've ever gotten so much more encouragement in my life. Yoongi thought sarcastically to himself as he rose from his chair. Jungkook followed his movements in a shaky manner, almost as if he was scared of the woman in front of him.

Yoongi ignored the boy, and, instead of repeating exactly what he wanted to say, Yoongi simply nodded at the woman. "I'm aware ma'am - and we won't let you down." Both he and Jungkook gave each other a glance as if to tell each other that they weren't sure that they wouldn't let her down. Either way, they had to try. They needed this job, regardless of whether they liked children or not.

While walking out of the day-care into the playground, Jungkook gave a nervous look around at the playground around them, imagining it overrun by small little gremlin like children. The very thought of it made his stomach churn.

Turning to Yoongi, he scratched the back of his neck anxiously. "Maybe this was a bad idea, Yoongs." He said, "I know that I said that I babysit your sister's kids, but we both know I really don't. I'm actually scared of kids."

"I know that, Jungkook."

"I feel bad for lying though," Jungkook confessed, "Should I go back in and apologize and tell her that I'm scared of kids?"

Yoongi let out a big sigh as he was too annoyed to speak, and grabbing his cousin by the ear, he dragged him out of the playground.

A/N:

Hope you have enjoyed!

I'm not sure how this book is going to turn out tbh I came up with it on a whim and just decided to publish. Also, as you may know, I don't really plan out my books, I just write them chapter by chapter and add in whatever I feel like (whilst keeping in my head what I want the plot to be). For some reason, even when I do try to plan my plots ahead I always just go of course, so planning for me is useless lol.

Imma just say that I actually love how Jungkook seems to be different in all my stories, unlike Yoongi. Like I've had a kind Jungkook in Christmas Eve and Stay at home, a Cocky/Sassy Jungkook in Joon's and now I have a childish Jungkook🤣

Yoongi, however, well...Lets just say I love tsundere cold Yoongi as a character for some reason, so yeah in all my stories (that have him in them) he's always like this lol.

Anyway, what was your favorite part?

Thank you so much for supporting this book!
