Jungkook was walking towards the vending machines with some friends -if he could even call them that- from the MCSC as the end of lunch strolled around, all of them craving from some snacks or a sweat drink to survive the two hours of class they had left.

The hall was empty, as it usually was, and the only sounds being heard were their confident footsteps and their loud laughter.

But Jungkook managed to pick up the beeping of the vending machine's button being pressed just before they turned the last corner, revealing the said vending machines and a flight of stairs opposite them.

Someone two people were already there, a girl who fetched her drink from the machine and ran off down the stairs as soon as she casted a worried look to the boy on Jungkook's left, Hanseol, the other being a boy still making his choice.

It was Park Jimin.

Instead of seeing him as the weird prude he had first seen, Jungkook saw a short and thin boy, seemingly trying to make a choice between strawberry or chocolate milk.

His hair that now seemed silky, and Jungkook was suddenly hit with the envy of running his fingers through it. His features were soft, nose small and straight, dropping to plump lips he curled to swipe the very tip of his tongue across them.

His skin was fair and carried the healthy glow that looked like a sunny summer day.

"Don't mind us, Jimshit." Hanseol said as he shoved the boy away, standing in his place in front of the vast array of drinks.

"Yah!" A boy called from behind him. "Don't touch him you'll turn gay."

And loud laughters followed.

"I think Jimin boy might be getting bullied at school. Highschool is a bitch, especially when Leemin and Hanseol are in your class."

Jungkook bit his lip.

He wanted to help, but Jimin was a man, he had to learn to stand up for himself.

He wasn't some damsel in distress.

The episode at the roof replayed behind his eyes, the hues of black and red, the different tints of his neck. Was Jimin alright?

At that thought, his eyes caught Jimin's.

They were dark, a shadow being casted by his long hair. And they looked straight back at him, with no hesitation. A blank stare, as if Jungkook had been no more than a manechine in a display.

"Yah! Jungkook, come on let's go." Hanseol said with a large smile as he swung an arm around him and spun him around to walk back to their class.

It was full with students finishing their lunches and talking amongst themselves. The windows were open, sunlight pouring into the class as a light breeze made the curtains dance.

Instead of being emerged in a conversation, Jungkook looked around the classroom, noticing people he had never seen before.

They seemed, uncomfortable as the large group of boys burst through the room.

Some of them tilted their heads down to their tables, fear flashed into other's eyes.

Jungkook had never felt such a strong feeling of rejection before.

He usually loved seeing others respect him and cower in fear in front of him, though that was when he knew what he'd done to scare them off. Though he didn't no why now.

"look at them with Jimin and some other nerds man, they can be nasty."

He'd never noticed, but his no one from his class ever spoke a word to him informally -despite some of them being older than he was-, except his friends from the MCSC.

What had his friends done to these people for them to look so worried when they walked into the room? What had he done to scare them away?

"You alright there Jungkook? You're looking a little weak there." Leemin said, leaning back on his chair as he looked at the boy with a smirk.

Jungkook felt himself fill with dread.

Would Leemin hurt him too if he judged him to be too weak.

"Yah! Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?" He spat, walking closer to Leemin and kicking on of the legs of the chair he was leaning on, making him lose balance and fall down.

Jungkook got the urge to check if he was alright, but restrained himself as the classroom quieted down.

Leemin scrambled from his seat and back up, dusting off his uniform pants and smiling nervously.

"Arhm, sorry captain, the spicy rice cake must have gotten to my head." He rambled, the rest of the MCSC of the class looking at him judgingly before turning to see Jungkook's reaction.

"That's what i fucking thought." He spat again, before sitting down in his seat.

His heart was hammering in his chest. Was this what they felt?

This fear.

"That was dope cap'. Show 'em the power of the MCSC, show 'em not to mess with us." Said Kangim, a short boy who always hung out with them despite being from the class next door.

"Yeah that's right." Said another girl from the club, black belt in karate.

Jungkook looked around the room, eyes glaring over his classmates.

"The fuck you looking at?" Hanseol yelled, kicking a table and making most of the students flinch and look away.

Jungkook felt more conflicted than he'd ever felt.

Did he enjoy this power, or would he prefer laughing around with his classmates like they did in the romance animes he watched as a kid.

How had he become this figure of intimidation without realising it?

His eyes caught the ones of the nerd boy, Park Jimin, as he looked at him from over his shoulder. Those dark eyes that didn't hold any bit of fear.

They pissed him off, he was jealous.

But he found comfort in them. Feeling like was human in at least one person's eyes.
