[In Savannah's Point of view]

His lips brushed mine. Not innocently but hot, fiery, passionate and demanding. I wanted to pull away before I lose myself but I couldn't. In that minty moment, my senses had been seduced and I couldn't think straight. I really wanted to pull away but I couldn't.

"Sav? Is that you___"
The door to my room opened. I pulled away from him in haste.

Adobi came out her eyes widened when she saw us.

"oops! Sorry. I didn't know that... I heard some noise and so I wanted to check what or who that was. I didn't know it was you two."  She explained struggling to find words to say.

I walked further away from Jeff then gave Adobi a signal of the uncomfortable moment her presence was causing.

"OK I will get myself back in the room." she said after she saw my signal. In what seemed like the speed of a lightening bolt, she went back to the room.

I let out a deep breath then walked over to where Jeff was standing to pick up my bag. I dropped it when we were lost in the moment. I tried to avoid eye contact with him.

"I'm sorry about that Sav." he tried doing that thing guys do after they take advantage of your unguarded moment.

"It's OK Jeff. Good night." I said and I entered my room without looking at him.

I threw myself very hard on my bed as if I wanted to punish myself for something. I laid down in quite smoldered with resentment.

Every conversation, actions and event from the day replayed in my mind.

I could feel Adobi look at me from her end of the room. I knew she wanted to talk about what she saw but I wasn't ready for her. I just needed my peace of mind to think things through.

With time, I let myself into sleep. The next thing I heard was Adobi calling out my name.

Slowly and reluctantly, I uncovered my face. I blinked, closed my eyes, blinked again and closed it lastly. Streaks of sunlight penetrated the window to the room.

"Sav wake up! It's morning already."

"Mmm... Mmm...mmm." I moaned then let myself free from her firm grip.

"Wake up lazy bone." she held me again.

"Go away. I want to sleep." I said pushing her away.

"Sleep Huh? You don't have any lectures today right?" she asked sarcastically.

"I know. I know but I won't go."

"what? Why? Are you not well? What's wrong?." she asked concerned.

"I'm fine I just don't want to go. Leave me alone." I added then covered my face again with my pink sheets.

"OK. If you say so. Hope you know what you are saying." With that, she made her way out.

I thanked my stars she had finally left me alone. I soaked myself in sleep again. I slept for a while then the vibrating sound of my phone woke me up again.

I groaned when I saw the notification.

1 missed call from Jeff.
30 seconds ago

It was him. I placed the phone back after reading it then it vibrated again. This time around it was a message.

Won't he let me be?

I opened the message half asleep then read it but I ignored it.

Then it came again.

JEFF: Hey I know you are there. Please reply.

I rolled my eyes as replied back.

ME: Hey...

JEFF: Didn't see you in class today. What is wrong? Are you sick? Tell me should I come over? 😨

"Didn't?" I checked the time then realized it had already passed lecture hours. Didn't know I'd slept for that long.

ME: No. Don't worry I'm good.

JEFF: Then why didn't you come to class? It's not like you. Or you were trying to avoid me?

ME: I have no reason. Just didn't feel like coming. Now would you leave me alone?

JEFF: 😱see.. I'm sorry about what happened yesterday OK? I guess I got carried away by your beauty.

ME: That's not an excuse Jeff. Are you not man enough to ask me for a kiss instead of doing what you did?

JEFF: I know that wasn't the best thing to do that's why I'm saying sorry.

ME: What was the reason for the kiss?

JEFF: I've told you already. I really love you Sav. I feel I'm gonna lose myself whenever I am around you. And your rejection is making it worse.

ME: Hmmm

JEFF: I really want to hear it from you this one last time. Whatever your answer will be I will accept it.

ME: What do you want to hear?

JEFF: Do you love me?

ME: Can't tell you that. Goodbye.

I switched off my phone and threw it somewhere. My head was spinning with the sudden turn out of events. I didn't know what to do or say anymore but one thing was certain, I didn't feel the same as he did and I was going to make him aware.

After several days of missing classes just to not see him, I went back to school. I started to avoid him. I avoided him for days. I wouldn't talk to him nor give him a look when we cross paths. I acted cold towards him every minute we met.

I just wanted him off my tail but it looked like my actions were actually bringing him closer. He would follow every time wanting to talk but I wouldn't mind him.

Things took a different turn one day after lecturers. I was walking to the library with Adobi then I heard a voice call out my name from behind. I knew it was him but I kept going.

Adobi insisted I wait and listen to what he had to say but I didn't listen. I went on without turning then I felt a manly hand pull me back.

"Just give me a minute of your time and when I'm done with what I have to say, you can avoid me as long as you want." he said.

I was done with his crap. I turned around and connected my hand with his cheek and the hallway went silent.

A few minutes passed by and everyone just stood there in silence looking at me as if I was a devil. They started to whisper in each others ears.

I was going to be the subject of every gossip from now on but I didn't give a damn.

I looked back at Jeff who had a mark of my hand on his face from the impact.

"Stop following me around!" I shouted and walked past him.
