i'd like to write a letter

to anyone who would listen

i'd put necklaces of ancient words, stringed up for the pretty throat that is waiting for them

and timeless paragraphs filled with trees and the sun itself, so they'd ignore the clock ticking for just a moment

and they'd feel the melody the branches seem to move too

I'd even put tea bags and small earrings to give,

for the afternoon parties with Anna Karenina or whoever really

and in that letter, you'd also find me, hidden in a blanket of redundant sentences, hoping with what i wrote

you'd get to know me too.
