Marley's POV

Johnny and me made our way upstairs past all the drunken men and women chugging beers and hoping to get drunk off their minds for some reason.

We walked inside and Johnny looked around, sitting on the bed.

"Wow.."

He said.

"It's been a while since I've been up here."

He finished. I chuckled at him.

"Yeah, I know.. It's not much, and Dally never really keeps it clean."

I said. He smiled at me. We sat on my bed for a while, reading, talking about life, or anything in general. It seemed as though the hours pass by with Johnny, and soon it was midnight.

It was thunderstorming by then, and I assumed Dally was at the Curtis house.

"Maybe you outta stay with me tonight Johnny, you can't go out in this weather."

I told him. It was raining hard, the drops hitting the window forcefully. I was always scared of thunderstorms, and Dally would always be here to cuddle me if one woke me up in the middle of the night.

I can't imagine being here on my own. So what if I'm fifteen? They still scare me. Especially with drunk people underneath you.

"I guess I'll stay here.. I'll have to leave early though so Dally don't think I stayed here.."

He said quietly. I smiled at him as he yawned.

"You want something to change into? Dally's got some pants and t-shirts you can borrow."

I said. He smiled at me.

"I'll be fine princess."

He said. I blushed. He always knew how to make me get butterflies. I pulled off my shirt and pulled on another that went down to my knees, pulled off my jeans and slipped on some leggings.

I walked over to the bed where Johnny laid and cuddled next to him. He pulled a book off my bookshelf and smiled at me.

"You want me to read your favorite book?"

He asked. I smiled and nodded lightly at him. He laid on his side and so did I, where my back was against his chest and one of his arms were under my head, while the other was around my stomach.

He began reading and I closed my eyes, trying to imagine the story in my head as the pages were being flipped. He soon got into it a few chapters and I began to smile through my closed eyes.

"They were very happy together, and loved each other very much."

He whispered. I felt him lean in close to my ear and nibble on it, making me giggle.

"Stop Johnny!"

I laughed. He smiled at me and softly placed a kiss on my lips before pulling away and began reading again.

"They decided since their parents couldn't except their love, they would run away together tonight. They could run away and get married, and nobody could bother them."

He continued. I felt him set the book down and pull the blankets above us to where we were both underneath the blankets.

I heard the lamp above my bed click as the light turned off, and I turned to where my chest was against Johnny's.

"I think that's enough reading for tonight baby,"

He said.

"You look tired.."

He whispered. I yawned and wrapped my arms around his neck as his snaked around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

We heard the now softer pitter patter of rain drop against the window as he pulled me closer and let out a sigh.

"I love you Marley."

He mumbled.

"I love you too Johnny."
