"Judging is a tedious process. Every book must be marked by each theme. So, what is the marking process?"

For five marks, the below said words best expresses each mark:

★One mark (1 mark): Needs improving.

★Two marks (2 marks): Better, Can be done even well.

★Three Marks (3 marks): Good, you have the skills to improve more! Work on it.

★Four Marks (4 marks): Very good, a little more effort and you would be the best!

★Five Marks (5 marks): Excellent! You are a true writer.

Here are the rubrics for judges! This is how you will judge. You should strictly follow the below given rules before starting the judging process. Participants can get to know the basis of judging.

Cover(0-5)
Depends on how attractive the cover is. First impression is the best impression. The cover must contain the username of the author as well as the title of the book, else how do you know who wrote it and what it's name is? It should also contain a suitable background.

Title(0-5)
The title must be precise and to the point. It must also look interesting and intriguing.

Blurb (0-5)
5 marks for hook: Does the blurb sound interesting? Does it have a cliffhanger or does it briefly explain the whole story? Blurb is something which attracts the readers so it must be interesting.

Creativity (0-5)
5 marks for creativity: Does the story feel really imaginative (if it's fiction)? How much would you rate the creative way using which the author has weaved the story? Do the lines of the poetry rhyme? Do they make perfect sense? Five marks decide that.

Chapters (0-10)
Here is the main part. Three to five chapters can be judged. Minimum is three and maximum is five. You have to give the marks following the below mentioned scheme:

5 marks for interest/personal enjoyment: Judge the story by how much interested you feel by reading the first 3-5 chapters.

•5 marks for punctuation and paragraph dividing: The story should be properly punctuated in order to understand. Paragraphs should be divided accordingly and speech made by the characters, along with the manner of expression must be in each paragraph. For example:

[ "This is a contest to test every aspiring writer's skills!" Person one exclaimed.

"You are right, my friend," Person two said calmly. ]

Grammar (0-5)
Grammar: There should be no grammatical mistakes, spelling errors and capitalization errors.

Preciseness (0-3)
The book should stick to it's genre/subgenre: How far does the book stick to it's genre or subgenre? Two marks will be given based on it.

Character Development (0-2)
Character development: Characters are vital to writing a story. The way the characters are portrayed, their nature, habits, etc. will make the reader decide if the character is an optimistic one or a pessimistic one. Depending on the portrayal of a character, 3 marks will be given.
