Although we didn't win the grand prize of a spot in a published modern fairy tale anthology, we did win the even grander prize of friendship. I just recently met Jesse, and we instantly bonded do to the fact we live in the same state (Washington). And not only do we live in the same state--but the same county! And because of this closeness in proximity, Jesse is my reader who truly understands some of the quirky "Seattle'ness" I try to describe in my stories. There really is no place like the Emerald City!
