Ding!

Brianna tore her eyes away from her iPad screen and glanced at her phone.

You free rn?

Brianna groaned, putting the iPad down and picking up her phone. She was about to type out a post for the OBB website, but that had to, unfortunately, wait. The text was from Kora Levine, captain of the cheerleading squad, also Brianna's number one BFF. She could have said no, and that they could talk later, but Kora knew Brianna was rarely too busy to call her, and Brianna had to save those times for emergencies.

I've got plenty of time.

A few seconds later, Brianna's phone rang. With a sigh, she closed her eyes, took a deep breath in, and readied her How-you-doing-bestie! voice.

"What's up?"

Only sniffling sounds could be heard from the other line, which meant she was crying.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Brianna asked in her concerned voice. "Was it 'bitchandproud' again?"

"Why does that person hate me so much?" Kora wailed. "Is it my fault I was born with blonde hair and blue eyes? Is it my fault I used my talent to become captain of the cheerleading team? Is it my fault I'm dating the star player of our football team?"

Brianna made sure to cover her mouthpiece and lean the phone away from her so Kora couldn't hear her sigh. This wasn't the first time the two of them were having this conversation. It was like Kora had no one else to tell any of this.

"Come on, Kora, you know that person's just being a jealous bitch," she said. "And besides, you should just forget about the person. Stop going on the website if it's going to hurt you this much. Or report the comments." Brianna already knew what the answers were going to be, so she turned her phone on speaker, tossed it to the side, and resumed typing out a post for the OBB website.

Kora hiccuped a few times before finally replying. "I - I know," she whispered. "But I just can't stop going back onto the site. I just have to know what they're saying about me. And I can't report any of the comments, there's no button or setting to delete them."

Brianna nodded even though she knew Kora couldn't see her. "Why don't you reply to the comments? Tell the person off."

"I can't do that! Then everyone will know what my username is, and you know we can't change it."

"I don't know, remember?" Brianna said as she reviewed her message to make sure there were no errors. "I don't have an account for the Online Burn Book. I think it's stupid, and you should think that way, too."

"Right, right," Kora sniffed. "You're right again, as usual."

Brianna smirked, and not just because the conversation was almost over. "Now, stop acting like a baby," she half-teased, "and act like the cheerleading captain everybody expects you to be. You read and watch movies a lot. In how many of those are the cheerleading captain as big of a mess as you?"

Kora let out a shaky laugh. "Yeah," she said. "I should probably act like the slutty bitch everyone expects me to be, right?"

"Definitely," Brianna confirmed as she pressed the Click to Post button. "Now go call your boyfriend."

"Okay," Kora said, a lot brighter than before. "Alright, I've got my bitch mode on. Thanks for your help, Bri, you always know how to make me feel better."

"I've known you for nine years now," Brianna shrugged. "Its my job."

Ping!

"Hey, I've got to go," Brianna lied as she clicked on the reply notification. "My mom's texting me."

Thankfully, Kora was dumb enough to buy it. "Alright, see you at school tomorrow," she said reluctantly before hanging up.

Finally. Brianna thought she could finally breathe as she focused her attention on her post.

bitchandproud: Kora Levine was flirting with my man yesterday. Thankfully, my boyfriend's faithful, unlike the bitch. If I were her boyfriend, I would have broken up with her a long time ago.

With a satisfied smirk, Brianna clicked to view the other replies.
