MONSTER CALLING! MONSTER CALLING!

Shad groaned when his phone rings early in the morning. The ringtone he had set for Eifad echoes in his quiet dark room.

He sticks out his arm from under the duvet and wanders his palm looking for his mobile. He sticks out his head and with squinted eyes checked the screen

'Arghh!' the bright light pierced his eyes.

'Hel-Hello' He said in a sleepy tone

'Come out I am waiting in the park, it's time for jog' Eifad said in her usual dry tone. Shad opens his mouth to ask her to let him sleep, she cuts the call. Shad sighed. He checks his phone

5am. Shad groaned.

Eifad time to time glanced at her watch as she does her stretches a frown on her face. She looks around and is relieved when she finds Shad dressed in his jogging attire jog towards her. She smiles watching him.

'Half an hour late' she said sternly.

'Sorry! Woh Kya Haina, yesterday I had come in a 16-hour long flight and was damn tried so I was s...'

'Only weak people make excuses, now come 20 laps' Eifad said and starts to jog. Shad sighed shaking his head and starts to follow, soon catching up with her.

15minutes later, Eifad abruptly stops at the playground. Shad dashed into her.

'What happened?' He asked confused.

Eifad held his hand, she turns to look at him 'Let's make sand castle together' She said, her tone sounded excited and Shad couldn't refuse, he didn't want to either. It is rare that Eifad feels excited or happy about something.

Eifad sat on the sand and Shad sat beside her, 'Yesterday also I had made one' she said brightly.

'Really? Let's make one again today' Shad said equally happy.

Eifad nods and together they start to make one. Shad wasn't doing much work except motivate Eifad as she is concentrates on making a sand castle. Ten minutes later, Eifad was done with it. It was much better than what she had made yesterday with the young girl. Shad pats her back and whole-heartedly compliments her and she smiles widely, first time in two years.

With Shad, Eifad's transformation from a gloomy depressed woman to a happy woman is evident. Her happiness depends on Shad. But will this happiness last?

Eifad takes a quick bath and emerges out from her bathroom with a white towel wrapped around her, she opened her wardrobe and smile looking at Shad's photo stuck on the back door. She caressed his photo

'I am so happy, I got to spend the time with you...you were so close to me...so close (she blushed looking away and then back at the photo) and now I will make sure you are close to me always.' She smirked and kissed the photo on its cheek. She smiles turning to take out the dress for work.

She gets dressed in her work attire- Black chiffon shirt and high waist red pencil skirt, red lip stick, black kohl. She left her shoulder length hair open and matched her attire with red stilettos.

As she walks towards the main door, Aisha stops her and asked her to have breakfast but Eifad silently refused and walked out. After she had left, Dheem Kaka informed Aisha that Eifad have had some oats when she had come from her routine jog at 7am. Aisha nods feeling slightly disappointed, like always she was hoping to have breakfast with her daughter and like always she is disappointed.
